After a long day of training Sera picked at her food, watching Jaqen. He looked up from his bowl a smirk on his lips.
'a girl has something to say?' he questioned.
'I want to go back.' She told him.
'back?' he questioned already knowing where she wanted to go.
'I want to prove that I'm ready.' She told him. 'let me prove I'm ready.' He nodded leaving his empty bowl discarded he lunged at her, she rolled aside just barely staying on the dry land, waves crashed against the edge of the temples landing. She rolled back before propelling herself to her feet. she took a deep breath as he charged again. She dodged and punched back, but he trapped her arms behind her back his hot breath on her neck.
'a girl thinks she is ready?' she nodded kicking his leg out from under him he stumbled forward as she spun around pinning him to the ground.
'a woman is ready.' She told Jaqen her knee digging into his back. A chuckle escaped his lips as she got off of him. He nodded, picking up his bowl and heading inside. He waited for her at the door she rushed after him.
'come.' He told her simply. 'the many faced God has a mission for you.'
++++
'Why?'
'No one does not care why.' Jaqen told her.
'you keep saying I'm not no one, yet.' She retorted.
'if a girl aspires to be no one then she must not care. Must not ask for no one has no wants. No one needs know why.' Jaqen told her. she nodded and he sent her off, alone. At least that was what she thought at first. Walking the streets, she moved like a commoner, her clothes and hair to match. She had a bit of coin from Jaqen and she stopped at the vendors as she did before, but this time she made her way to the theater. Auditions were being held for a play, this was her in. the man took one look at her as she entered and ran to her.
'Beautiful.' He said he ran a beefy hand across her face. 'you are here for the part?' he questioned. Sera nodded, his hand slide down her chest and he grabbed at her breast. 'you will do nicely.' The man agreed. This was the man she was meant to get more information on, the best possible way to kill him. It was supposed to be quick, for death is a mercy. The faceless men were not supposed to be seen, their actions were not supposed to be know but sera knew that she could have snapped his neck, pierced his heart oh so easily but that was not how the faceless God, the Many faced God wanted it. The God of death was merciful. Their mission would fall if people were killed viciously and violently, without plan and precision.
When sera made it back to Bravvos she walked right up to Jaqen.
'you sent her to babysit me?' sera questioned incredulously. Jaqen smiled happily. 'that was a test?' she questioned.
'to see if you could pay attention to the mission and your surroundings. You passed.' Jaqen told her proudly. 'but did you complete the mission?'
'I have been accepted into the show.' Sera told him. 'getting him alone will be easy enough. He is a man whore.' Sera informed him.
'Good.' He handed her a vial she looked it over holding it up in the firelight.
'what is it?'
'No one does not need know.' Jaqen told her. 'remember?'
'What does it do?' she countered opening it up and smelling it, but there was no smell.
'don't drink it.' Jaqen told her putting his hand over the top of the vial.
'I wasn't.' she assured. 'but tell me what it is.' She was becoming no one but she was still stubborn. She still liked to know everything and be the smartest person in the room. She wasn't anymore.
'just get him to drink it.'
'how much does he need to drink?' Jaqen looked at her curiously. 'if I pour it in his wine,' sera went on. 'Will be need to drink all the wine to feel the effects?'
'no, a sip or two will do.' Jaqen told her.
'see? That was easy enough.' Sera told him and before she could over think it she pressed a long, slow kiss to his cheek walking back to her sorry excuse for a room. He watched her go, hips swaying, she knew what she was doing, and it was driving him crazy.
Three days later the deed was done. The director lay dead, sera cried out in horror with the rest of the cast before making her way back to the docks.
'I thought you would fail. I expected you to fail.' A woman told her aggressively.
'were you always a bitch or are you like this because I'm Jaqens favorite?' sera taunted.
'you will die, just like the rest.' The woman told her.
'yes, we all die. Death is the only thing in life that is assured.' Sera told her. 'but I wont be dead by your hand.' The woman sneered at sera before lunging at her, but sera dodged, this woman was unfocused where sera was completely focused. She had completed her mission, her first mission. The woman tried to balance herself on the edge of the dock but sera sent a quick kick to the gut sending her flying into the waters below with a splash.
'better luck next time.' Sera said victoriously as she got on her boat and sailed away leaving a woman flailing in the water filled with anger. The woman shouted out at sera smiled into the fading sun.
'is it done?' Jaqen questioned, he was waiting for her outside the temple he offered her a hand off the boat. She nodded as she took his hand, stepping up right next to him their bodies flushed together. A smile crept onto her face as he lead her back inside.
