Chapter Eleven.
Eleanor hadn't seen Aaron in a while. In fact, she hadn't seen him since Adriana asked him to leave so they could have a girl's night in, which was about a week ago now. She had been out the house a lot more though, knowing that she wouldn't be bumping into Calum again anytime soon, even if it was just to go to Adriana's – which is where she was right now.
They were currently in the garden, lying in the sun – both in their bikinis - hoping to get a tan. Eleanor had been thinking a lot recently about her relationship with Aaron. She felt like it was forced, due to her still being in love with Calum.
"I've been thinking about breaking up with Aaron" Eleanor blurted, before she could even think about what she was saying. Adriana sat up, crossing her leg, Eleanor mirrored her actions.
"What? Why?"
"Look, he's a great guy but it's just... Well, I can't stop thinking about Calum and that's just become worse since we saw him in town the other day. I shouldn't be thinking about another boy while I'm in a relationship, it's not fair on Aaron. He deserves someone who can make him happy as much as he makes her happy" she told Ade. Adriana agreed, knowing where she was coming from. She couldn't let Aaron think she had feelings for him any longer when she didn't. Everything just seemed so complicated to Eleanor. "So is there anything else we can do?" Eleanor asked, changing the subject – this was becoming a bad habit of hers. She wanted to do something that would completely distract her from everything that was going on in her life right now. She didn't want to deal with the whole breaking up with Aaron situation right now.
They went through pretty much every idea they could think of, but none of them grabbed their fancy, so they were still in the garden. Every now and again one of them would let out a suggestion, but then they both decided against it. They stayed silent for a while, just thinking.
"What about the beach?" Adriana suggested. Eleanor thought about it for a while, before agreeing. After all, they were already in their swimwear. They put on their jandals; then grabbed a couple of towels before walking to the beach; it wasn't very far to walk.
They reached the beach, and found some shade to sit in and lay down the blankets to sit on. They sat down, and watched a group play a game of volleyball; but by the looks of it, it wasn't a serious game.
"That looks fun, I'm going to see if we can join in" Adriana spoke, getting up and walking over to the group. Before Eleanor could even think about protesting, Adriana was already talking to one of the girls. A few minutes later, Adriana returned and grabbed Eleanor's hands, pulling her up and dragging her over to where the group were.
Adriana and Eleanor played volleyball for about an hour, and they had made a few new friends. It was getting quite hot now, and Adriana was growing tired after all the exercise.
"Well, we should probably get going. We have dinner to get back for" Adriana called out. "It was nice meeting you all!" They both said goodbye to everyone, and they left to grab their stuff and head on home.
"That was actually really fun, we should do that more often" Eleanor suggested, as they started their short walk home. Adriana agreed, and before they knew it they had returned to Adriana's. "So what is for dinner?" Eleanor asked, remembering what Ade had said at the beach. Adriana thought for a while, not actually knowing what they could eat for dinner.
"I don't know, Dominos?" Ade asked. Eleanor agreed enthusiastically suddenly craving Dominos, and went to get changed into her normal clothing while Adriana ordered the Dominos.
