Chapter Twenty.

The day of the boys' final concert had finally arrived. They were all so excited; but Calum was growing more and more nervous as the day went on. He wanted Eleanor to show up, but he wasn't sure if she would. He wasn't even sure if she ever wanted to see him again. The more he thought about it, the more he doubted that she would show her face, even with the other boys constantly convincing him otherwise.

Even though they were back in Australia now, the boys were still staying in a hotel so they didn't have to travel as far to get the venue they were playing at.

The concert was five hours away, still, but Calum was already stressing over what he could say to Eleanor. He hated the fact he had to think about what he had to say to Eleanor now. He would normally just speak to her; he didn't even care if he made a fool out of himself while he spoke to her; while he was with her. But now he was scared of making a fool of himself, saying the wrong thing that would make her hate him. It was funny how a break up could change everything.

"IT'S FINAL SHOW DAY!" Ashton screamed, bursting into the room. Calum spun around to face the excited boy that had shown up in his room. The look on Calum's face was the biggest giveaway that he was nervous about tonight. "Dude, chill! It's going to be great! Caleanor is finally going to be reunited, and I can't wait" Ashton grinned, using Calum and Eleanor's ship name; their fans had some up with it. Butterflies erupted in Calum's stomach at the use of the ship name. "Anyway, we have sound check in half an hour" Ashton pointed at Calum, walking out of the room, backwards – which caused him to walk into the wall behind him. Calum laughed at his best friend's clumsiness, temporarily forgetting about his nerves.

They had finished sound check, and there was three hours left until the concert. Fans were already lining up outside, so the boys decided to go and take some photos and sign some autographs. Apart from touring, meeting the fans was their favourite thing about being in a band.

With only half an hour left to the concert, Calum was jumping around the dressing room trying to calm his nerves; he had never been so nervous before a concert. Not even when they first started out.

"Do you think she'll like the song? Oh, my gosh what if she doesn't like the song? What if she doesn't even show up? What if she doesn't want to talk to me?" Calum rambled, as he stopped jumping and started pacing the room.

"Take a chill pill and sit down" Michael laughed. None of the boys had seen Calum nervous before, at least not this nervous. Calum stopped pacing, and sat down on one of the sofas, his left leg bouncing causing the cushions to shake with it.

"That's more annoying than the pacing" Ashton commented, looking up from his phone, as he was sat on the same sofa.

"Sorry" Calum apologised, forcing his leg to stop bouncing.

The boys were on stage now, and Calum's nerves were slowly beginning to fade – they only had two songs left to sing. Calum hadn't seen Eleanor, or Adriana, yet but that was only because he wasn't sure where they were. He wasn't sure if they were in the crowd, or watching for backstage.

"This next song is one I wrote earlier on the tour. It's about someone I wish I hadn't let go of. I've been told she is here tonight, so I hope she likes it – you know who you are. This is Everything I Didn't Say." Calum spoke into the microphone, in front of him, introducing the song.

Wait; don't tell me heaven is a place on earth

I wish I could rewind all the times that I didn't show you what you're really worth

They way, you held me, I wish that I had put you first

I was wrong I admit, numb from your kiss

While you were slipping through my fingertips

The crowd in front of him was pretty much silent, apart from a few screams, as he sung the lyrics; his fans were yet to learn.

The song came to an end, and the crowd roared with screams. The boys looked out at their amazing fans, before introducing their final song.

"We've come to the point where we only have one song left to sing" Michael spoke into his own microphone, and the crowd once again screamed. "This is our debut single, She Looks So Perfect!" The crowd went crazy, as Ashton counted them in.

As Calum was bouncing around the stage, he noticed two figures at the side. He froze in his spot, noticing it was in fact Eleanor and Adriana. Eleanor's smile grew as she looked into his eyes, and his did the same. Realising he had stopped playing in the middle of the song, Calum turned his attention back to his bass and carried on playing, now full of more energy than he first had. He couldn't stop smiling while they sang their final song.

Calum ran off the stage as soon as they had all said their goodbyes to the fans. His heart beat quickened as he approached Eleanor, the love of his life, the girl he had let go, the girl he was hoping still loved him as much as he loved her. Eleanor was on her own now, so Calum pulled her to the side.

"I love you" Eleanor spoke, before Calum could say anything. Calum smiled, that was exactly what he had wanted to hear.

"I love you too" he replied.

"JUST KISS HER ALREADY!" Ashton shouted. So that's exactly what he did. He pressed his lips to hers, and held her tight, just how it was supposed to be.

Calum vowed to himself, then and there, that he would never let her go again.
