I Dream

I dream of the purest of darkness,

I dream of the brightest of lights.

I ride on the back of The Boogieman's nightmare, at Midnight we ride,

Making friends with whom other mortals call monsters in their dreams.

I dream of destruction, the ending's beginning.

I dream of creation, the beginning's ending.

I see stars waging war with themselves,

I hear their battle cries and mourning calls.

The moon sings lullabies to me, I sing along to her melody,

While we watch the pandemonium and madness together.

I dream of bottomless oceans, as deep as the universe.

I dream of timeless skies, never stopping to keep track.

The malicious mermaids serenade naïve and foolish sailors,

As the mischievous angels make ridicule of pitiful demons.

I dream of forgotten and never made memories,

I dream of what could have been and never will be.

I tumble through familiar, yet never seen before, streets and alleyways,

As I stumble through my mind's own maze of mystery misted with haze.

I dream of the wonderfully horrifying fears,

I dream of the horrifyingly wondrous queers.

I have afternoon tea with a humungous arachnid,

As I have nice chat with a murderous stuffed bear.

I dream of many things indeed,

I dream of nothing to particular.

I dream of everything and nothing,

Even when I have been awoken.

I dream.
