Muted Screams Written Aloud

The best way of getting our

Emotions across to others

Without directly speaking

Even one single word aloud,

Is to just write them down.

Write and write and write,

Until our fingers are numb

And our pencils are nothing

But mere stubs of whatever

Mighty tree they used to be.

Jot down every single Thought

No matter how morbid or insane

They are made out to seem, as

Crazy and incoherent as what

Even a loon would call gibberish.

Scream about how we're feeling,

Though we may confuse ourselves,

We make complete and utter sense

To those we love surrounding us,

Without even making one sound.

Listen to both your head and heart,

But question your soul and sanity,

For any single one may try to trick you

With wavering emotions and feelings

While still trying to hold you together.
