"Do you see what I see?"
That is what they asked.
I smiled, and answered,
"I don't see what you see,
Do you see what I mean?
I see what I see, while
You see what you see,
And someone else sees
What they see, whether
They see what they want
To see, or they need to see.
Because everyone sees something
Different than what any one else sees.
Some will only see just enough,
But others will not see enough.
Others will see everything to see,
While others may not see anything at all."
They stared at me, with shining eyes
That I could not look back into, for
Now they understood that I could not.
Because I can see only what I see,
And they can only see what they see.
