I can see it in your eyes,
The burning, fiery passion
That flickers within you,
And dances with your soul.
I watch as you grow and mature,
Your orbs never loosing their glow.
They attract me to you,
Like a moth to a flame.
My wings flutter shyly
As I approach your form.
Landing in your gentle embrace,
I sigh contently.
Hold me closely to your heart,
That thunderous beat that
Echoes in my ears.
It lulls me to sleep
As I hum our song,
And I think of all the times
You told me you loved me.
I would say,
With a grin on my face,
That I will always love you,
No matter what will happen.
I sigh contently as I hold your hand in mine.
Wondering how this miracle cam to be,
Why you chose me out of everyone else.
You laughed,
That sparkle in your eyes.
Holding me close,
And whispering warmly to me,
That I was the only one for you.
Fear was evident on my face,
So you told me you would never,
Never ever see me crying,
Not letting me shed a tear.
You said you would protect me,
Till death do we part.
But even then, you said,
You said you would wait for me, and I you.
Now, we hold hands,
Smiles on our faces
As we fly,
High on ecstasy and joy,
Soaring past the milky way.
We dreamed what we are now living,
Our wishes came true
When we locked eyes,
Yours staring into mine
As I had gawked in pure awe.
We grew and morphed,
Staying by one another's side,
Just like our fluttering hearts,
From new born caterpillars,
Forming a butterfly love.
