THIRD PERSON'S POV
The Kim family and the Jeon family sat in the luxurious VVIP room, engaged in discussions about business, alliances, and future prospects. Yet, amid the conversations, Jisoo found her mind wandering, silently wondering what Jennie was up to.
Thirty minutes had passed, and Jennie was still nowhere to be seen.
Master Kim, Jennie’s father, turned to Jisoo with an unreadable expression. “Where is Jennie?” he asked, his voice calm yet firm.
Jisoo forced a nervous smile. “She will be…”
Before she could finish, the door swung open.
All heads turned.
There stood Jennie Kim, radiating confidence with a smirk playing on her lips. But it wasn’t just Jennie that stole the room’s attention.
Beside her was a blonde girl in a waiter's uniform.
The entire room fell silent, captivated by the sight. The girl was breathtaking, her delicate yet striking features, her sharp eyes, and her poised presence held an undeniable allure. The Kims and Jeons couldn't help but stare, momentarily entranced.
But not everyone was pleased.
Jade Jeon, a prominent member of the Jeon family, clenched his jaw, his eyes darkening with irritation at the unexpected guest. His displeasure was obvious, he didn’t like the way Jennie was standing so close to the stranger, nor the way Jennie’s body language screamed ownership over the girl.
Jennie came to a stop, her aura cold yet effortlessly commanding.
Beside her, the blonde girl looked… confused. Lost, even.
Jisoo, however, immediately sensed what was happening.
“I know we’re late,” Jennie began, her voice smooth and unwavering. “I had to pick up my girlfriend, which is why we’re delayed.”
A wave of shock passed through the room.
Her words echoed in everyone’s minds, but the way she emphasized girlfriend, as if laying claim to the girl beside her, made something stir within her chest. There was a strange sense of pride and satisfaction in saying it aloud.
No one spoke at first.
Then...
“Um… hi?” the blonde stammered, feeling awkward under the weight of so many eyes.
Jisoo grinned, breaking the silence. “Have a seat, you two,” she said, gesturing for them to join the table. This is going to be fun, she thought mischievously.
Jennie and the blonde girl took their seats, and in an unexpected show of chivalry, the blonde pulled out a chair for Jennie.
Jennie smirked. “Thank you, babe,” she teased, emphasizing the last word as she settled down.
The blonde, who was clearly uncomfortable, merely forced a smile, trying to maintain her composure as she took the seat beside Jennie.
Jisoo, ever the troublemaker, leaned forward with a playful glint in her eyes. “What a beautiful girl you have, Jendukie,” she mused, throwing Jennie a knowing wink.
Jennie smirked but remained silent, while the blonde shifted slightly in her chair, unsure of how to react.
Minyoung, Jennie’s aunt, leaned in, curiosity flickering across her face. “Care to introduce your girlfriend properly, Jennie?” she asked, her brows lifting as she took in the blonde’s appearance.
