CHAEYOUNG (CUBY) POV
It was already 4:15 PM, and I stood outside the penthouse of Pranpriya Brüschweiler, waiting.
Being the right hand of my best friend was… interesting, to say the least. By day, I was Cuby, her playful best friend. But in moments like this, I was the secretary of Ms. P. In the corporate world, Pranpriya was known as ruthless, calculated, and impossible to deceive. Few knew her real identity, and even fewer had seen her face.
To the outside world, Lisa Manoban was nothing more than a carefree, talented photographer and businesswoman. But behind closed doors, the name Ms. P was a whispered code among South Korea’s elite, a signal that they were dealing with someone far beyond their reach.
As her right hand, I had arranged three cars for the evening. One was for her ride, the other two for security. It wasn’t just about status; it was about protecting Lisa’s double life. If the world knew that the playful Lalisa Manoban and the elusive Pranpriya Brüschweiler were the same person, her normal life would be over.
The penthouse door opened, and she walked out, her entire aura shifting the moment she stepped forward.
Gone was the lighthearted Lisa. In her place stood Pranpriya.
"Let's go. I want to finish this quickly," she said, her voice cold, her expression unreadable.
I smirked. And so, the game begins.
"Yes, Ms. P," I answered, opening the car door for her.

JENNIE POV
I sighed heavily, sinking into the plush cushions of my office sofa. My head ached from back-to-back meetings, and though exhaustion weighed on me, I couldn’t complain. I lived for this. Managing the company wasn’t just a job, it was my purpose.
Closing my eyes, I draped an arm over my face, allowing myself a moment to breathe.
"Ms. Kim," a soft voice interrupted.
I blinked my eyes open to see Mina standing over me, looking slightly hesitant.
"Ms. Kim, it’s already 5:00 PM. You have a family dinner at 5:30 at LM Diner. Master Kim specifically said you should be on time."
Oh, shit.
I shot up from the couch. "Oh my gosh, I completely forgot!" My heart raced as the reality of the situation hit me.
How the hell was I supposed to stop them from setting me up with someone at this dinner?!
"Uh-uhm… Ms. Kim?" Mina's voice wavered as she stared at me, probably startled by my sudden panic.
I turned to her, desperation creeping into my voice. "Where can I find a lover for rent in just a few minutes?"
Mina’s eyes widened. "Uhmm… Wh-what was that again, Ms. Kim?"
"Never mind!" I grabbed my purse, exhaling sharply. This was insane. But I had no other choice. I need to find someone, fast.
Without another word, I rushed out of my office, leaving Mina standing there, completely dumbfounded.
I drove to LM Diner, my hands gripping the steering wheel as my mind raced for a solution. Still in my office attire, I barely cared about appearances right now. The only thing on my mind was getting through this dinner without being forced into another blind date.
As I pulled into the parking lot, I took a deep breath, trying to steady myself.
LM Diner wasn’t just any restaurant, it was the restaurant. The dining spot for South Korea’s wealthiest, a place where business empires were forged over expensive wines. My father, of course, had chosen it for tonight’s gathering.
Stepping out of my car, I moved with effortless grace. I could feel the weight of people's stares as I walked through the grand entrance. It was nothing new. I am Jennie Kim, after all.
The manager approached, ready to escort me to the VVIP room, but I held up a hand, silently refusing. I wasn’t in a hurry to arrive.
As I subtly scanned the restaurant, my eyes landed on her.
A blonde girl stood near the staff section, wearing a waiter's uniform. The crisp black and white outfit fit her way too well. Her bangs framed her large, doe-like eyes, and her perfectly sculpted jawline made her look effortlessly striking.
But it was her expression that caught my attention. She was admiring the uniform, her lips slightly pursed in approval, as if she was actually impressed by it.
And for some reason, I found that incredibly adorable.
Wait.
What the hell is happening to me?
I stared at her, drawn in against my will. Something about the way she tilted her head, her brows furrowing in slight confusion as she scanned the room, ugh, it was too cute.
Before I could talk myself out of it, I moved.
My heels clicked against the polished floor as I made my way toward her. She noticed me approaching, her expression shifting to curiosity. Her head tilted slightly again.
Stop being so adorable, I wanted to scream.
Now standing in front of her, I reached for her wrist.
Her skin was warm under my touch.
She blinked, startled, but didn’t pull away.
"I need your help," I said, my voice serious.
Her lips parted, confusion flashing in her eyes.
I didn’t give her a chance to respond.
Gripping her wrist, I turned on my heel and pulled her along with me, straight toward the VVIP room where my family was waiting.
My heart pounded in my chest as reality caught up with me.
Oh god. What have I just done?
