JENNIE'S POV

Lisa leaned back in her chair, her expression unbothered, as she faced the arrogant heir with ease.

“I believe working as a waiter is a legitimate job, Mr. Jade,” Lisa said smoothly, her thick Australian accent ringing clearly across the room.

Silence.

I blinked.

Wait… she speaks English?!

Everyone, including my family, stared at Lisa in astonishment. Her voice carried an effortless authority, a stark contrast to her supposed status as a simple waiter.

Lisa wasn’t done.

“Being a waiter is exhausting, Mr. Jade. The pay may not be much, but they earn it with hard work. They’re the ones who serve your food, without them, who would?” She tilted her head, eyes twinkling with amusement. “Maybe you shouldn’t talk like that, Mr. Jade. After all, waiters work for their money… while some people simply spend what their parents give them.”

She smirked.

That was so hot.

Jade, however, saw none of the charm. His face twisted in fury.

“Are you saying I don’t work hard for my money?!” His voice rose with rage. “You’re just a waiter! An uneducated, illiterate nobody!”

Lisa barely batted an eye.

“I don’t recall mentioning your name,” she mused, feigning innocence. “You just feel that the shoe I described suits you perfectly,”

The smirk she gave him was lethal.

Jade’s hands curled into fists. “How dare you!” he snarled, standing abruptly. His parents tried to calm him down, but his bruised ego made him reckless.

“Where’s the manager? I want to speak to the manager!” he demanded.

“Jade, enough,” his father warned.

Jade ignored him. “No, Dad! I’ll make sure this waiter gets fired tonight!” His finger pointed directly at Lisa, eyes burning with arrogance.

I was about to stand up and end this nonsense myself.

But before I could, the door swung open.

Five men in black suits entered the room like a coordinated unit. Two positioned themselves behind Lisa, three subtly spread around the room, while a sharply dressed woman and the restaurant’s manager stepped forward.

The tension shifted instantly.

Even Jade froze, his confidence flickering.

The woman in the suit and the manager both bowed- deeply.

I stiffened.

They weren’t bowing to us.

They were bowing to Lisa.

What the hell?

Jade’s expression lit up, mistaking the situation in his favor. He smirked and turned to Lisa. “Good. You’re finally getting what you deserve.”

Lisa remained unfazed, but I noticed the way she shifted her gaze, straight to the woman who arrived first. There was something unspoken in her expression.

The restaurant manager swallowed hard, beads of sweat forming on his temple.

Jade gestured towards Lisa. “This waiter needs to be fired. Immediately.”
