THIRD PERSON POV
After that flabbergasting moment, they all plopped down into their seats, couples naturally gravitating toward each other. A strange silence settled over the table, thick with unspoken thoughts.
Jennie's friends avoided making eye contact with her, as if walking on eggshells. Lisa's friends, on the other hand, exchanged confused glances, trying to decipher the situation unfolding before them. In the midst of the awkward stillness, someone cleared their throat.
"Um, you must be Lisa, Jeongyeon's friend," Nayeon said, turning her attention toward Lisa. "Seems like you've got quite an intimidating girlfriend there," she added, casting a sideways glance at Jennie.
Jennie shot her a sharp look. "Don't act like you don’t know me and Lisa, Nayeon," she said flatly.
Nayeon simply smiled, shrugging it off.
"You two know each other?" Seulgi asked, curiosity laced in her tone.
"Yup, they do," Lisa answered before Jennie could. "It's just… unexpected to meet again like this," she added with an awkward smile.
Jennie narrowed her eyes at Lisa before flipping her hair with a huff. "Unexpected? Lali, your friends just happened to be dating my friends!"
"Hey, Nini! It’s not my fault that my friends and I are so charming that we attract your friends," Lisa quipped, smirking.
Jennie scoffed and pinched her side. "Ouch, Nini! I was just kidding!" Lisa whined, pouting at her.
Deep down, Jennie had to admit Lisa had a point. We’re also stunning, appealing, and gorgeous. A smug smile tugged at her lips.
"Alright then," Jennie announced, straightening up, "since fate decided to make our circles collide, why don’t we do proper introductions?"
One by one, Lisa’s friends presented themselves, their voices carrying just the right amount of pride as they introduced their high-ranking titles. Meanwhile, Jennie’s friends did the same, eager to impress Lisa.
Lisa and Jennie exchanged knowing glances as they watched their friends practically audition for each other’s approval.
"What is wrong with these kids?" they thought in unison.
By the time introductions wrapped up, it became clear, Lisa’s friends were the CEOs and Presidents of top companies across Asia, while Jennie and her friends were powerful business figures in South Korea, with Mina as Jennie's trusted secretary.
"Wow… what a small world," Jisoo murmured, genuinely astonished.
The food arrived, and they ate while chatting, but curiosity still lingered in the air. Jennie’s friends couldn’t help but wonder—Lisa studied business, yet she worked as a head photographer at L-Studio, one of South Korea’s most renowned studios. However, they let the thought slide, knowing Lisa excelled in her field.
Just as the conversation settled into a comfortable rhythm, Nayeon suddenly shouted, "Wait!"
All eyes snapped to her.
"Have you guys seen Ms. P.?" she asked excitedly.
The table fell into chaos as Lisa and her friends immediately choked on their food.
Cough! Cough! Cough!
"Oh my gosh, are you okay?" Jennie and her friends panicked, handing their partners glasses of water.
"Y-yeah, we're fine," Lisa and her friends managed between coughs.
"So...?" Nayeon prodded, looking straight at Chaeyoung.
