JENNIE’S POV
Three weeks have passed, and Lisa is still relentlessly pursuing me. Honestly, I’m ready to say a big YES and make things official, but that clueless monkey has no idea. Not that I’m complaining, I’m savoring every moment. She takes me on dates whenever we’re free, showers me with sweet gestures, makes sure I never skip meals by bringing me food, and constantly checks on how I’m doing. Every little thing she does makes me fall even harder.
Today, I’m swamped with work at the company. RJK Corporation is launching a new dress collection this month, and the pressure is mounting. The Production Department is lagging behind, and it’s testing my patience.
"Why isn’t this design finished yet!?" My voice cuts through the tense air, my frustration evident.
The production team bows their heads in silence.
"We are about to launch a new collection, and you’re telling me it’s not done!?" I demand, expecting an answer. But no one dares to speak.
"Answer me!" I snap, making them flinch.
"W-We apologize, Ms. Kim. We will ensure it is completed by tomorrow," the head designer stammers.
"Make sure of it, or I’ll fire you on the spot," I warn coldly. I have no patience for incompetence.
"Yes, Ms. Kim!" they respond in unison, beads of sweat forming on their foreheads.
I turn to Mina. "When is the photoshoot scheduled?"
"It’s today, Ms. Kim. Would you like to oversee it?"
"Of course. Let’s go. I want to see if they’re doing their job properly."
Mina leads me to the studio. The moment I step inside, the staff freeze, their gazes darting nervously. If they were doing their jobs right, I wouldn’t have to be here. My sharp eyes scan the studio, at least the setup is complete.
"Start the shoot," I command, my tone cold and unwavering. The staff scramble, but something is off.
"Is there a problem?" I turn to the director of photography.
"The photographer isn’t here yet, Ms. Kim. She said she was on her way," the director informs me nervously.
My blood boils. "THEN TELL HER NOT TO CO-"
"NINI!"
A familiar voice rings out enthusiastically, cutting me off. The entire room falls into stunned silence as Lisa bursts through the door, a camera slung around her neck.
The staff stares in horror, their eyes darting between me and the audacious newcomer.
"The photographer is here now, Ms. Kim. I’m sorry about her," the director stutters, glaring at Lisa.
Wait. Lisa? My Lisa is the photographer?
Lisa waltzes toward us, beaming. My heart clenches at the sight of her. We didn’t see each other yesterday, and I’m fighting every urge to hug and kiss her senseless right now.
The director looks ready to scold her.
"Dare to lay a hand on her, and you can kiss your job goodbye," I warn icily, my gaze locking onto the director.
"M-Ms. K-Kim?" The director pales, looking between Lisa and me.
Lisa’s brows furrow slightly as she takes in the tension before her expression softens into an amused smirk.
"Hi, I’m Lalisa Manoban, head photographer from L-Studio," she introduces herself with a professional bow.
The director clears her throat. "Let’s begin," she announces, clapping twice.
Lisa winks at me before stepping into her role, her focus shifting effortlessly to the job.
THIRD PERSON POV
The shoot begins, and Lisa falls into her element, focused, precise, and completely unaware of the hungry gazes fixated on her.
Jennie, however, is acutely aware.
The CEO’s feline eyes darken as she watches the staff and models shamelessly ogling Lisa. It’s infuriating. But what truly pushes her over the edge is the lead model, a woman who is deliberately posing incorrectly just to get Lisa’s attention.
Jennie grips the armrest of her chair so tightly her nails dig into the fabric.
Lisa, oblivious to the model’s antics, sighs. "You’re doing it wrong again, Miss," she mutters, stepping forward to correct the pose.
The model smirks. "Oh, I’m sorry, Ms. Manoban," she purrs, deliberately stumbling and placing a hand on Lisa’s shoulder.
Jennie sees red.
She rises from her seat, her voice ringing through the studio like a thunderclap.
"YOU BETTER REMOVE THOSE FILTHY HANDS FROM MY GIRLFRIEND BEFORE I RIP YOUR FINGERS OFF WITH MY BARE HANDS!"
Gasps echo throughout the room. The model stumbles back, genuinely frightened now. Lisa instinctively moves to steady her, but-
"DON’T YOU DARE TOUCH THAT PERSON, MANOBAN!" Jennie’s voice snaps Lisa to attention.
A stunned silence follows. The CEO had just declared Lisa as her girlfriend.
Lisa barely has time to react before Jennie turns to the director.
"Change that model. Now." Her voice is laced with authority. "And you, Manoban, consider yourself fired."
Lisa blinks. "Wait, what-?"
Jennie turns to the director. "Find another photographer and have the completed shots on my desk by tomorrow. DO YOU UNDERSTAND!?"
"YES, MS. KIM!" The director scrambles, bowing profusely.
Jennie gestures for Lisa to follow. "Let’s go."
Lisa hesitates. "But, Nini, I’m not-"
Jennie doesn’t let her finish. She grabs Lisa’s clothes and drags her out of the studio. Lisa barely manages to bow to the staff in apology before being pulled away.
The moment they disappear, the room collectively exhales.
"WOAH. Ms. Kim is even scarier when she’s jealous," one staff member mutters.
The others nod in silent agreement.
One thought settles among them all: ‘DON’T. GO. NEAR. MS. MANOBAN.’
