LISA POV

SH*T!

It's Mr. Jung.

She called my name.

F*CK!

What should I do!?

I froze in place, standing behind Nini. I couldn’t see her reaction, but I was panicking inside. Sht!*

Act cool, Lisa. ACT COOL.

I opened my mouth to speak, but before I could, Nini beat me to it. I held my breath as she shattered the silence.

JENNIE POV

"Ms. P.!"

Mr. Jung’s voice rang through the room, his head bowed low in deep respect. A heavy silence followed.

Ms. P.

Ms. P.

Ms. P.

Did I hear that right?

I narrowed my eyes. "What was that again, Mr. Jung?"

He straightened up stiffly, his gaze flickering anxiously to my Lili, who stood just behind me. I frowned.

Does he know my Lili?

He was sweating now, looking increasingly uneasy. I turned to glance at Lili.

Her expression was unreadable, serious, controlled, but beneath it, there was something… fierce. A sharp, dangerous glint in her eyes that sent chills down my spine.

No wonder Mr. Jung was shaking.

But the moment Lili noticed me looking, her entire demeanor shifted. A smile, a perfectly crafted, harmless smile, graced her lips as if nothing had happened.

Oh, she’s good.

I smiled back, but my mind was already racing.

"Mr. Jung." I called again.

He flinched. "O-Oh, um… It was 'Ms. Kim'!" He forced out a nervous laugh. "I-I was just so excited about the proposal! So glad to see you here, Ms. Kim."

I raised an eyebrow. Oh really?

So glad that you rejected my company’s proposal and made me come here in person? Glad your ass.

Lili nudged me, leaning in to whisper.

"Tsk! He even got my name wrong, Lili!" I muttered.

She exhaled in relief, like she'd been holding it in. Then she turned to me with the widest grin, so wide it was creeping me out.

"Stop smiling like that, Lili. You’re scaring me. And stop being too serious, you’re terrifying Mr. Jung." I whispered again.

And just like that, she burst into laughter, her shoulders shaking like she was enjoying herself too much.

Her laughter faded, and she cleared her throat, stepping forward.

She extended her hand toward Mr. Jung.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Jung. I’m Ms. Kim’s secretary, Lalisa Manoban."

Her voice dropped into a deep, commanding tone, devoid of any warmth.

Holy sht.*

Even I got chills.

No wonder Mr. Jung was practically trembling.

The meeting started, and to my utter shock, Mr. Jung didn't complain.

Not a single word.

Not about the budget. Not about the logistics. Not about the execution.
