Laurent looked at the letter in his hands and did not believe that this was happening to him. So many questions swirled in his head, and he did not know what to do. This letter is both a curse and a gift from God. Still not fully understanding what he was doing, Laurent took the phone out of his pocket and called Lylah. "Hi. Yes, it happened. Someone has found out about our secret and is blackmailing me. No, I won't do it. I just don't have any other choice right now. I put you on notice, be prepared for the consequences, this will break my twin completely.

Larry was on the plane now, he was returning home.

Laurent was waiting for him in their Paris apartment. He had been rehearsing since morning the words that would break his twin's life. But he no longer has time to back down and spare his feelings. The last secret will be revealed between them. Laurent took another look at the letter, although he had memorized the words written in it. "I know what you are hiding from your twin. My silence is worth 100,000 euros. Write your answer in a letter and send it to the address on the back. I hope you are reasonable." But Laurent kept this secret for too long, he no longer had the moral strength to keep it inside him. Larry will take time to accept the truth, but he will be fine. Laurent was ready to lose his twin.

Larry knew immediately that something was wrong. Twilight and silence reigned in the apartment, and Laurent could not live in silence. Larry left his things in the hallway and went in search of his brother to find a gloomy cloud at the kitchen table.

- Laurent what's going on?

- We need to talk. - Larry took the handed letter, the meaning of which he did not understand.

- What is it? What's happening?

- I want you to listen to me. He sat down opposite me and listened to the end without saying a word. That's all I ask. I promise that I will not bother you anymore and will give you free rein for any emotions.

- Laurent?

- It is very important. Please. - Larry nodded tensely and sat down opposite his brother immediately joining their hands.

- Lylah and I have kept the same secret from you for many years. At first, we were not sure, but when everything was decided, we all did not yet find the courage to tell you. It was me who was the coward putting off the conversation every time. Several times I wanted to tell you, but always something good or bad happened. This is a letter, some bastard found out about my secret and planted a letter in my things. He thought that I would pay him, but this is a reason to tell you. Remember, even before Lylah got pregnant, you had a very big fight with her, and you said that you broke up with her? - Larry nodded, understanding where Laurent was leading and he did not like it at all. Laurent smiled wryly and continued looking into Larry's eyes. - I then quarreled with the girl, with friends, and with you. I was walking down the street in heavy rain and accidentally ran into Lylah on the porch of the store drinking straight from her throat. You hurt her so much then. We both got drunk then and in the morning we woke up naked in the same bed. Damn, this is so trite! A few weeks later, she announced that she was pregnant. I then thought that I would die. I prayed that the child was not from me. We can't even do a DNA test because you and I are the same people. But later, when Lilo was born when your daughter was a few months old, I saw you in her. Because my daughter turned out to be like me. Lilo was getting older and more and more of your features appeared in her. But we were still afraid to talk about that night. - Larry sat motionless, absorbing his brother's words. Memories of all the past years swirled in his head. He still clutched his twin's hand like the only anchor holding his mind. Larry rubbed Laurent's fingers, more of a familiar interaction, a necessity, while hell was going on in his head. He tried to get it right that his twin, the only person he trusted fundamentally, without thinking that Laurent's betrayal didn't exist in Larry's world, had had sex with his daughter's mother, days before she found out she was pregnant. - I cannot ask you for forgiveness, but I ask you to think before you make any decision. And I guarantee that I am ready to accept whatever you decide.
