The night had long since come into its own, and Larry had no sleep in his eyes, but the emotions and feelings seething inside did not even allow him to doze off. He, nervously pacing around his room, cast short glances at the door connecting them to Laurent's room. Beyoncé seemed to ignore the fact that they were no longer youngsters who were afraid to sleep separately from each other, and their rooms always ended up with an adjoining door. Larry and Laurent were grateful to the Monster for the fact that they were no longer booking single rooms, as they were 12 years ago. Larry smiled warmly at his memories of 12 years ago, but his smile quickly faded as his thoughts returned to the sad reality. There is so much going on in her and her brother's lives right now, and a recent trip to Paris as part of Beyoncé's tour put some things in place. Since the start of the American tour, too much has changed in just a few days. Larry sensed that Reggie was up to something. Something nasty and vile. Reggie told him more than once that Laurent would not always be on his side and that one day there would come a time when Laurent would get tired of cleaning up Larry's "mess." Larry looked again at the white door separating him from his twin. Larry needed Laurent's support now more than ever.
The scalding hot shower relaxed Laurent's body, buzzing with fatigue and tension, washing away the unpleasant aftertaste of the past day. He tiredly collapsed across the bed, having difficulty moving his overworked body. He lay down comfortably under the blanket, a little more and his consciousness would fall into the long-awaited sleep. And somewhere on the edge of consciousness, he caught the movement of the door handle and the silhouette of Larry frozen on the threshold of his room.
- Either go to bed or go to your room... - Laurent muttered sleepily, trying to ignore the excitement and tension hovering around his twin. They had to go through a lot to learn to control themselves when the twins experienced strong emotions. Larry just sighed meekly and carefully climbed into bed with his twin, pressing tightly against his back and hugging him across his stomach. A second later, Laurent felt Larry resting his forehead on his shoulder, but it was not this that excited Laurent, but the fact that Larry opened up and let his feelings pass through Laurent. Laurent squeezed Larry's hand, rubbing it gently, urging him to calm down. He hated that this whole situation was affecting his twin so much.
- Laurent... – Larry's quiet voice broke the fragile silence.
- Mmm...
-Promise me something, - Laurent kept his eyes closed, trying to absorb as much of Larry's painful emotions as possible, knowing for sure that now was not the time to turn around.
-What? -He already knew the answer, Larry had already asked him about this once, once upon a time, in their poor childhood.
-Whatever happens next in our lives, whatever emerges from our past, especially from mine. Even though we never talked about each other, you will not leave me. You will not leave my side. Even if this choice comes from our friends, whom we have considered family for most of our lives. – While Larry was talking, Laurent turned to his brother and hugged him tightly. Laurent hates this moment now. They haven't slept in the same bed for several years. They haven't cuddled under the covers for several years, sharing their experiences. It took them many years to learn to be separate individuals, independent of each other. Realizing that it is completely normal for them to want different things in their lives. The hardest part was finding that balance, finding that fine line to live our lives while remaining tightly connected. Not all twins can do this, but they did it. Yes, they had serious fights several times and almost gave up when suddenly everything began to improve. Laurent learned to trust Larry, and Larry learned to let go of the leash, allowing Laurent to live his own life. They learned to be normal, independent individuals from each other, as far as was possible, of their too strong connection. But now, at this very moment, Larry clung to Laurent like a little child, looking for protection and support, faith in the correctness of his actions, faith in himself. Wrapping himself in Laurent's calmness as if in his most beloved, warm, and cozy blanket, it seems he is seriously planning to stay there for the rest of his life. The last couple of months seem to have completely crushed him. Especially the fact that Larry seems to have lost Laura. His little friend, Laura, had been with him for so long Laura was his little sister. Larry and Laura have their special connection, and now Laura also cannot cope well with everything that is happening in Paris. Laurent sighed heavily, turning to Larry, holding his twin tightly to him.
