Larry stood in the narrow corridor, leaning back against the mint-colored wall. He rested his head against the wall, throwing it back so that the visor of his cap obscured the bright ceiling lamp, which hummed a little, allowing him to thoughtlessly look at the snow-white ceiling. My head was empty. Hearing footsteps at the head of the corridor, he shifted his gaze to the toes of his sneakers.
— Larry. — the calm voice of his brother riveted Larry's eyes on not-very interesting sneakers. Now the act no longer seemed so right and necessary. Now this has become a problem. But Larry didn't care. He was protecting his twin. He's had enough shitty behavior. — You hit a man! — Larry squinted at the indignant twin. — Larry, – Laurent began again, moving closer to his brother, stepping between his legs. For them, such closeness was normal, while many considered them wrong.
— You might have a bump! — Larry again faced a wave of anger, he furiously looked his brother in the face, intending to end his hold on the position. — You hit your head on the floor, and that asshole wasn't even looking! —
— Lar... — Lo tried to grab his brother by one of his arms, which he waved indignantly, but the twin was angry and needed to let his emotions out. Larry jerked his hand out of his brother's and pushed him away.
— And the fingers are still broken, Laurent! — he raised the twin's hand and shook it, clearly demonstrating what he meant.
— Larry! This is not a reason for impulsive and unnecessary actions! — Laurent twitched his hand impatiently and pinched the bridge of his nose, trying not to lose his temper. At least now they need at least one cool head, that someone is calm.
— But he didn't look! He ignored! And not only us! You know it's not the first time! He is a real asshole for most dancers! — Larry was seething with anger and irritation. He moved quickly from side to side, giving Lo a headache.
— You do understand that now literally everything is in sight, even more than before! We can't risk it! This problem can be solved after the fights! — Laurent tried to appeal to his twin's mind. Now, what he did was wrong. Larry's action touched his heart. Laurent secretly rejoiced that Larry was so ready to defend him. — But the price of such an open defense in public is too high!
— He ignored you! You are hurt! I must protect you! And no matter what the cost! — Larry finally stopped. He returned to his brother, his voice filled with barely contained, fragile emotion. — Is money really that important to you? — He just wanted to protect his world. Own twin. The only person who is with him despite himself. Because he was a huge difficulty.
— Of course not, Larry! — Laurent, taking a few steps, ran his hand over his brother's shoulder, trying to convey common sense with his actions and calm voice, but his words acted in the opposite direction. — We can no longer act like on the street, we have no right to do so! Too much is at stake, you know?
— What do you mean, you wouldn't defend me in this situation? Would you leave everything as it is? May they not notice me, my efforts and efforts, without even giving a chance for a fair refereeing? Would you let that asshole be such an asshole? Is that what you want to say? — Larry turned to his brother, letting him see the anger and pain in his eyes. And disbelief that the twins will continue in the same spirit. Let everything go on as usual for the sake of reputation and respect, which no one fucked up in principle.
— Bébé, don't be silly! I will always protect you. I'll go on the fucking stage, apologize and explain what you did! Because you don't deserve the hype that goes up after an hour and a half at the most. Some people don't understand what the problem is. This will be my protection for you! — Larry would not be entirely right in speaking of his emotions. But Laurent is on his brother's side now. And a thousand more times if needed. — I need to minimize the damage you get from your impulsive behavior. — The twins looked at each other, tension pulsing between them. Larry closed his eyes and exhaled heavily, resting his head on Lau's shoulder.
