Larry let out a relaxed breath as he got into his car. This day turned out to be good for him. He was hired at one of the most popular restaurants in New York. Yes, he will be a waiter. But his hourly wage is $ 70, a full day of 8 hours, 5 days a week, plus all his tips. He's finally lucky. The restaurant manager said that usually, the owner himself makes the decision to hire the workers, but they have an emergency and urgently need workers, which is why he was accepted so quickly.

He tells Jay and us about the good news because now they will both be with income. Now James will be able to give the salary as a payment loan! The money that Larry gets to work in the restaurant is enough to stay afloat for several months, and pay for utilities, food, and insurance for their five-year-old daughter!

Larry danced around making a nice dinner for the three of them. Soon, his husband has to get home from work and pick up Lilo from school on the way.

Larry was optimistic about their future life ...

Larry worked at the Pearl for almost a month, a couple more days, and his internship will be over. He will be transferred to an official salary of $ 100 an hour. It was really good money, almost no restaurant in New York paid that much.

Larry moved smoothly between the tables, delivering and taking orders until the senior of the shift asked him to come to the far table by the panoramic window.

- I am glad to welcome you to the "Pearl". Today I'm your waiter, Larry, have you already decided on the order? - The smile never left his face. Larry greeted the guests amiably. He didn't even blink when the second man at the table pulled off his hat and sunglasses. But he didn't have to. Larry recognized him by the rings on the ring finger of his right hand. Larry swallowed, still radiating friendliness and a sincere desire to help with food and drink choices. Both men at the table read out their orders. Larry walked into the kitchen under the heavy, uninterrupted gaze of his twin.

- Who sits at the table that I just served?

- You do not know? This is Roy, the coolest DJ in New York, and his friend, who is also the owner of this restaurant and respectable real estate in America and France, Laurent Bourgeois. You are even somewhat similar. Are you relatives? - Cass, one of the chefs joked with a wry grin.

- Haha, Cass, very funny. Also, say that we are like twins - Larry was talking about a joke and now everyone who was in the kitchen was laughing.

But Larry wasn't funny because he wasn't fucking joking. How could they collide again in this vast world? Why? To poke Larry's nose where he screwed up?

What did it cost him to listen to his twin and not marry James? Not to move from city to city without enough reason?

They tried to separate them when their parents divorced, but the twins were stubborn. Who knew that Laurent was so pleased with smiling business investment, which is engaged in their father? Who knew that Larry would pass up the opportunity to study to be a chef to pursue his dream with his twin? ...

Who knew that Larry would fall in love with a man who would turn out to be a real despot and a monster if he had at least a glass of wine?

Who knew that Larry would offend his twin right before his wedding so much that Laurent would leave without even waiting for the ceremony?

They hadn't spoken for about 7 years.

And now Larry is a writer who is about to finish his internship at his twin's restaurant. Bloody mockery of fate.

The glasses of his twin, lying so casually on the edge of the table, are worth the earnings of today's shift, and for Larry, this money needs to be divided into three days. That is enough for food and other expenses.
