Larry's Rule №1. Steal and don't get caught.
Larry developed this rule for himself as the basic human instinct. Laurent never let Larry take his clothes, whether it was a jacket, T-shirt, or underwear. Laurent always forbade Larry from taking his things for one simple reason - Larry never returned them. Larry was rarely able to return Laurent's clothes for various reasons. Sometimes, it was because he liked the thing too much, sometimes, it was damaged for some reason, and it was irrevocable, but more often than not, it was because Larry always loses things. They move too often and have multiple dressing rooms in different houses and different countries, and Larry is simply too distracted to keep track of exactly where he left things and at what point he forgot to put them in his luggage. Therefore, Laurent categorically forbade Larry to take his things. Well, there was another, but very significant reason, somehow, Larry always managed to take Laurent's favorite thing. And Larry developed the ability to take Laurent's things without getting caught. Laurent was constantly angry when he could not find this or that thing in his closet, but Larry could not prove that it was stolen. Larry was proud of his hidden skill that pissed Laurent off so much.
Larry's Rule №2. Cozy and Loved
This is a rather strange rule that causes Larry a lot of discomfort. Larry was not the most tactile person. Since school, he took to heart the attacks from other children and adults on his close relationship with the twin. And Larry saw Laurent stepping over himself, putting a distance between them when they were in crowded places. And Larry wanted to do something for his twin. At home, when they were at home or just alone, Larry always contacted Laurent, held his hand or hugged him, and let him sleep on his shoulder when they went somewhere by bus subway, or train. As they got older, Larry stopped caring what other people thought, and he became more tactile with his brother anywhere. He learned to focus only on his twin's happiness. But still, it wasn't enough. Laurent is like a March cat, only he is always loving, and not only in spring, especially if they have not seen each other for more than one day. Larry indulged all the desires of the twins when they were alone. Sometimes it seemed to Larry that he had a cat who needed to scratch his tummy all the time and feed him delicious food.
But to be honest with himself, Larry loved being alone with his twin. This was his most terrible secret, which Laurent knew about, but never spoke about it aloud. And Larry was grateful to the twin for his understanding. For the fact that Laurent was always there, even when Larry stubbornly said that he did not need it.
And that led to rule number 3.
Larry's Rule №3. Do not talk to Laurent about important things while he is hungry.
Everyone knew that Larry was ready to eat at any time of the day. But Laurent also had such a sin. Laurent was real evil in the morning, while his body was deprived of food. And he was generally not capable of normal negotiations if his stomach was empty. And if on ordinary days Laurent's breakfast was a natural process. But on those days when Larry needs to have a serious talk with Laurent, the best way to appease the twins' sin is with delicious food from Larry. Only in this way were there very high chances of holding peace negotiations.
Larry's Rule №4. Look after yourself.
Larry was well aware of his shitty nature and of course, he knew that he would lose his temper very quickly. This rule turned out to be one of the most difficult, and it concerned Larry himself more than Laurent. Larry knew how much trouble he was causing his twin. Larry remembered how he was when he was younger. Brash and not thinking about the consequences. These consequences always fell on Laurent. Sometimes even taking a hit. Laurent was always behind Larry, always ready to follow Larry anywhere. And Larry appreciated it. Therefore, getting older, he began to monitor himself, what and to whom he said, public records or photos. Larry tried to restrain himself so that Laurent would have fewer problems. This rule did not always work, sometimes there were breakdowns. Laurent never scolded Larry for such outbursts, because Larry defended Laurent the best he could. And if to protect Laurent, someone needs to be slapped, he is ready to do it without hesitation, and then stand with his head bowed, as if he were a delinquent boy, under the strict gaze of Laurent. Laurent used to say, "Do you know we could do without it?" and tightly hugged, kissing somewhere on the temple.
And this rule flowed smoothly into rule number 5.
Larry's rule №5. Follow Laurent
This rule was formed in the same way as rule number 1, at the level of basic instincts, although it was much more serious. They were twins, and they shared a connection, but each felt it differently, Laurent felt Larry's emotions well, and Larry any physical pain that was a little more than a poke in the shoulder. Larry wasn't as good at reading his twin's emotions as Laurent was, so Larry kept a close eye on his twin. Larry was ready at any second to be in front of his twin and take a hit on himself, well, or to smash the face of the guy who broke Laurent's nose, though it was still at school. No matter how much Laurent scolded him, treating bruises and bruises, Larry could not help himself, it was stronger than him. Instinct, protect your own in any way. He loved Laurent very much, Laurent was his and only he was Larry, he could beat (not seriously) the twin, and no one else could do it. Laurent did not make things easy. He was a manipulative asshole who made friends and enemies with equal ease. At one point, Laurent is joking with someone in a friendly way, but a second later everything changes and Larry is standing with a big, frightening shit shield.
Larry's Rule №6. Keep the beast in check.
This rule was formed by chance when they first started traveling. And this rule served to protect the surrounding people from Laurent. Laurent was called the Beast for nothing. He was, just a beast sitting deep inside Laurent, fast asleep. And Larry did everything he could to ensure that this monster never woke up. To wake the Beast, you need to try.
Reggie did it in 5 minutes. Everyone around thought that Larry kicked Reggie out of the team because of his differences with him. But it wasn't. It's just that one day he and Laurent were walking down the street and the twins saw Reggie playing in the playground with Laurent's daughter. Larry still does not know how he managed to drag the twin to hell. And how he managed to keep Laurent from smashing Reggie's head on the floor in their dance studio. Larry hardly pulled Laurent from Reggie, friends also tried to take Laurent from Reggie but scattered them like blind kittens.
Laurent seemed to lose his mind when he crossed this line. Yes, Larry was more quick-tempered, he often quarreled with others, while Laurent almost always remained quite calm and tried to calm the twin, but overstepping the line, Laurent became very dangerous.
Larry's Rule №7. Return and restrict Laurent.
This rule had many forms and guises in its execution. Laurent was never careful with himself when it came to music and dancing. Almost always, Laurent switched off, lost in notes and musical beats. He went into his space, his world, and at such moments Larry monitored the physical condition of the twin. This also applied to simple work processes, creating music or studying many contracts, Laurent could forget to eat at such moments, and forget about sleep and rest. Larry did everything to make Laurent eat and rest.
Larry always felt guilty for not understanding his twin's feelings well, so he made up for it with physical care.
