Sitting quietly by the small campfire she had made resting by the dancing flames her body aching thanks to riding for up to 13 hours, it had been a long day. Her horse stood a little far back, eating food and drinking from the small river.
It had been 2 months since she had been back home, not knowing whether the gang had even moved on but she had business to attend to.
Hearing horse's footsteps she reached for her gun wishing she hadn't taken her boots off.
"Who's there!" She shouted hearing two men chuckle, she sighed sitting back down.
"The hell are you doing out here?" Y/n questioned as Arthur and Charles horses made their way towards her, the shadow of the fire licking up their figures.
"Dutch sent us to find you, you haven't been back in a while...he said you'd completed what you had to do, a while ago" Charles said, she shrugged placing down her gun.
"Yeah well I've been busy" she retorted moving over so they could both sit down by the fire Arthur instantly reached for the pot of stew.
"Made enough for an army" Arthur chuckled.
"I know, still not used to cooking for just me self" Arthur nodded as she reached for the small photo patting her front pocket.
"We've been tracking you for a while at least...two weeks?" Charles questioned, Arthur nodded, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.
"Yeah like I said I've been busy" Y/n said her hand dropping as she reached for another blanket the cold night air engulfing her as Arthur tried to keep the fire going.
"What you been doing this way North, in all this civilization?" Arthur asked.
"Just quick jobs, better pay and most of them are legal" Y/n spoke a little quieter as she looked up at the dark sky the stars blaring down at her like a lamp.
"Dutch wants you back home...are you coming home?" Charles questioned with a hint of worry.
"I will eventually" she shrugged feeling Charles hand move to hers.
"What's happened?" He questioned, she turned to look at them. Both of them seeing the damage to her face, the fire illuminating the darkened skin.
"Who did that?" Arthur asked standing he knelt in front of her taking her chin between his fingers.
"Like i said a few jobs were legal" she said pulling back and standing she limped towards her horse moving the saddle off of the floor and onto a nearby tree.
"We met a man in the last town, said you were picking fights in the Saloon" Arthur butted in. She froze.
"Don't believe everything you hear Arthur" Y/m mumbled acting as nothing had happened.
"Y/n are you putting yourself in danger on purpose?" Charles asked, she sighed turning back to them.
"What does it have to do with you two, specially you Arthur because you do the exact same as me, when you're in pain and can't do shit about it" Y/n spat back firing up her cigarette, she admired the cigarette card, she pulled out the metal tin in her sadder placing it inside.
"What happened?" Charles asked knowing he was the only one who would be able to talk her down from this, he did with Arthur.
"It's sucks because for a minute I was happy, for a minute I was getting better, for a minute I had hope. but in a minute I lost it all again." She whispered taking a long drag from her cigarette.
"What?" Charles asked not hearing her words, she repeated herself a little louder.
"It's sucks because for a minute I was happy, for a minute I was getting better, for a minute I had hope. but in a minute I lost it all again."
