"Of course he'd send you two idiots after me!" I screeched throwing whatever I could grab in the end train cart.
"Oh come on little lady, there's no need to make this hard now" Josiah said, taking a step towards me. I grabbed the closest lock box and threw it at his face. Causing him to stumble backwards into Benjamin who drew his gun.
"What? Are you gonna shoot me Benji?" I asked, another lock box already in hand.
"Well if you glance behind you Miss Callahan you'll see that you're on the last cart, so you'll either be coming with us or jumping to your death which your father will not be pleased about" He said taking a step forward.
"Then I chose death" I spat throwing the lock box at his hand rather than his face. The gun dropped. I turned towards the back as he tried to reach for my long brown locks, and I leaped, rolling and rolling until I finally stopped. Groaning.
I stared towards the train, seeing them both screaming at each other as they passed over a bridge. I laughed, bowing.
Grabbing at my belongings that I had dropped and began climbing up the hill. Seeing a man, leaning forward on his horse, I stopped.
"Ma'am did I just see you jump from a moving train?" The man asked clearly teasing me.
"And? You should mind your business Mr" I mumbled beginning to walk past him. Hearing a breathy chuckle.
"Not running from the law are ya?" He asked.
"No sir I am not" I spat readjusting my dress.
"No, the police wouldn't give you that shiner" he said, dropping a lit cigarette from his mouth, I turned away from him.
"Towns that way ma'am would you like a ride?" He asked. His horse moving beside me, strong thick legs digging into the dirt below.
"No sir I'm mighty fine without anymore troublesome men" I said.
He laughed again. But it wasn't in a teasing way, more of an unsaid agreement."It's half a day's walk, I'll get you there in a few hours" he said softly.
"I am fine Mr" I mumbled. Rubbing my side, my ribs were aching at the fall from the train.
"Morgan" he stated. I stopped and looked up at him, noticing his beautiful sun kissed skin and watercoloured eyes. Soft brown hair peaking through his leather hat.
"What?" I asked.
"Morgan, Arthur Morgan" he said holding out his hand.
"Rosabelle Callahan" I said slipping my lace gloved hand into his rather large hand.
He shook it, muscles tensing up his arms.
"And the man who gave you that shiner?" He asked pulling me closer to him, his other hand placed on the top of my back, his face only inches from mine as his eyes took in every detail of my face.
"My Father" I whispered breathlessly. Seeing him breathe in, he closed his eyes at the smell of my perfume. His hand relaxing slightly.
"Where do you plan on going Miss Callahan?" He asked softly.
"I don't know yet" I mumbled, my eyes staring into his.
"Then come with me, I'll take you back to my camp, it's closer than town, you can rest up and then I'll take you to town in the morning?" He said.
"Your camp?" I asked, he smiled understanding what I meant.
"My groups camp, there are more women and jack, a kid, a couple of men" he said softly. Straightening up. I looked at him and then towards the darkening path towards town.
