It was a few hours before they made it to the entrance of the City. Jorge stopped the vehicle and they all piled out as they began walking a little bit. There were so many people around that it made Katri feel claustrophobic. The people didn't look like they were doing so great. Swallowing thickly while Thomas holds her hand gently while they walk in. Katri had taken off her coat and tied it around her waist while they walked.
"This place has really gone through hell..." commented Jorge
Thomas doesn't look at him but continues looking forward. "We just gotta stay together."
They continue their walk for a little while until they heard a voice speaking in the distance. "We are the voice of the voiceless." They stopped walking seeing a truck slowly driving through the crowd. There were men in masks sitting on top of it while someone was driving the truck. One of them had a megaphone.
"They hide behind their walls, thinking they can keep the cure for themselves while they watch the rest of us wither and rot." Katri looked at all the men on the truck until her gaze landed on two people making her raise a brow as if she knew those two people. When the truck was passing by them, one of them leaned forward still keeping his gaze on her as she kept hers on his. "But there are more of us than there are of them!"
The people listened intently to the words. "And I say, we rise up and take back what is ours!" Katri saw the man lean away from her as the truck finally was further away from them. "Let's bring back a victory!"
After everything was said and done, Katri's neck was burning a little bit and it was tingling a little bit. Katri raises her hand to her neck and looks back and then up seeing drones right above them. Katri's eyes widen as it seemed to be pointing right at Thomas. W.I.C.K.E.D knew they were here, didn't they? Thomas followed her gaze and then saw the drones flying away and he began walking through the crowd more. Katri glanced at Newt and Frypan who both looked at her. They began following Thomas until they all made it near the front of the gate.
"That's it..." Thomas exclaimed. "That's our way in!"
"Thomas," Jorge began as they all began walking further. "This is not what you're looking for. All these people trying to find their way in; you think you're gonna find something they can't?"
"Came this far. I'm not turning back now." Thomas shouted back into the crowd.
Jorge was up with Thomas as they continue through the crowd. Everyone else was behind them a few feet from them. Finally, they made it in front of the big crowd, looking at the wall in front of them.
