Chapter 6

Time Skip

Y/N pov

Today is a very big day. Wanda and I have been together for four years, second time around and she is currently at work. She finally got a teaching position at the local  school. She has been loving it since the semester started. Everyday she tells me how amazing it is and how sweet the kids are too. I can't help but smile everytime she talks about it because she is finally living her dream and I couldn't be anymore proud. She deserves this and more.

I have made sure to get all of the ingredients for her favorite sokovian dishes that her mum gave me the recipes for so I am slaving away in the kitchen while she is none the wiser. I have also asked Nat if she would take her out after work for a coffee before she comes home. I want her to be surprised by this and make it extra special because she is everything for me.

Wanda's pov

Flashback

I lay in my bed crying again. I missed Y/N so much and I hate her for even suggesting that we take a break. I needed her more than anyone but she didn't fight for me to stay with her. My mum came in shortly and sat silently on my bed as she rubbed her hand on my back softly.

"I know you're hurting now sweetie but this is for the best." She said softly as I just shook my head.

"How is this for the best mum. I need her and she pushed me away." I sobbed out as my mum just comforted me.

"You will soon see that Y/N only done what is best for you. She is probably hurting just as much as you right now and she has made a huge decision for you to heal and not become dependent on her." She told me as I just looked at her

"But who has she got?" I asked her quietly as she just kissed my head.

"She wants you to concentrate on yourself. You had went through everyones nightmare and that sure as hell would have scarred you." She told me. I knew she was right I just didn't want to believe it.

I was on my way to meet up with Nat after work for a coffee. I wore a huge smile on my face as today is the day of our anniversary and hopefully the rest of our lives together. I walked into the coffee shop and saw my best friend sat at a table with two cups ready.

"Hey, I already ordered for you." She told me as she gave me a hug before we both sat down together. She told me about her starting the procedure for implanting the eggs in her uterus soon and how nervous and excited she was.

"You and Maria will make amazing parents." I told her with a smile which she returned.

"Thank you." She beamed before she raised her brow at me.

"So when do you think you and Y/N are going to have a baby?" She asked me as I choked on my coffee.

"Definitely not yet. I have only just started my job and we both want to be married and find a house in the suburbs with a garden for them to play around." I told her with a smile at the thought of Y/N and I being parents in our dream home and a couple of kids.

"I'm sure you will both be amazing parents Wanda." She spoke tenderly as I remembered the talk that we both had in the first year of us being together again.

Flashback

Y/N and I were laying in bed side by side after we had sex. I couldn't help but admire her more defined features and scars that she had picked up while working with the task force. Her hand traced my collarbone softly as she gazed at me lovingly before I pulled her in for a sweet kiss.

"Do you ever think about our future together?" I asked her softly as my hand remained on her cheek.

"All the time." She smiled at me. "I think about us getting married and buying a house in the suburbs. Having a couple of kids running around. A big garden so you can grow your own fruit and vegetables and plenty of grass for a swing set and maybe a soccer net for them to play." I smiled brightly as I listened to every word she had just said knowing that that is everything I have ever wanted in my whole life. My future is with her.

I bid my goodbyes to Nat before heading home to see if Y/N had come back for Aunt May's. When I unlocked the door I smiled at the aromas of the sokovian dishes that she had cooked. When I walked further inside I saw the table was set beautifully and I wanted nothing more than to kiss the one person who had set it.

I smiled brightly when I saw Y/N standing there in a red shirt and black trousers and a black tie holding a bouquet of my favourite flowers.

"Welcome home princess." She said softly as I walked closer to her with my smile growing with every step I took.

"Hi." I whispered as I stepped closer to her.

"Happy aniversary." She said as she kissed my cheek as she handed me the flowers. I smelt them before placing them into a vase before making my way back over to her.

"Happy anniversary baby." I whispered as I gave her a soft kiss. She pulled out my chair for me before she gave me my favourite foods from home before she sat down in front of me. She asked me about my day at work and how my coffee date was with Nat making me smile at how attentive she is with me. She always makes me feel like I am the most important person in the world. When we had finished our food, she cleared her throat before she spoke.

"Wanda." She started as she took a deep breath. She seemed extremely nervous for some reason. "You have always been my future since the moment you walked into my life and stole my gaze. I never ever thought that in my life I would see the most beautiful things that life has to offer but I have seen the most beautiful thing in the whole universe." She started as she moved her seat next to mine. "The moment I looked in your extraordinary eyes was the moment I became yours. My heart even then no matter how hard I tried to deny it belonged to you." She spoke as she took my hand in hers as a smile grew on my face at her words. "You were my light to fight through my darkness even during our time apart. No matter how many times people told me I should move on, my heart wouldn't allow it. My heart is yours from now and forever." She said as she reached in her pocket and got down on one knee making me gasp. "Wanda Maximoff, would you do me the greatest honour and marry me?" She asked as she held out the most beautiful ruby ring in a red velvet box. The tears fell from my eyes as I smiled brightly.

"Yes. 1000000x yes." I said as I nodded frantically. She smiled and slipped the ring on my finger before she stood up and pulled me up with her. She kissed me gently as she picked me up and spun me around as I just smiled knowing that I get to be married to my one true love.
