Chapter 29

Time skip

Wanda's pov

Since that night, Y/N and I have made up for lost time as much as we could when we weren't in work. And it was mind blowing. I was sat in my living room with Nat as Olivia was napping. We were watching something on the tv as we drank our coffee. 

"You know I don't really like her." Nat started before I interrupted her.

"I'm pregnant." I blurted out needing to tell someone because truthfully I am scared to tell Y/N. I know that she wants to have kids but after the shooting, I am scared of what her reaction will be. Nat just looked at me shocked by my revelation.

"So I take it that things between you and Y/N have been great then." She smirked at me as I just gave her a shy smile and nodded. "Damn Wanda."

"It's been amazing Nat. I have my Y/N back and I am scared to lose her if she doesn't want this." I told her sadly as she gave me a soft smile and took my hand in hers. 

"She will want this Wanda. She has always wanted a future with you and this." She said as she motioned to my stomach. "Is a huge part of that future you will share together. She loves you and she will love this baby too." She reassured me as I nodded in response. 

"You're right. I guess I maybe scared over nothing." I whispered as she nodded her head at me. 

"Cook a nice romantic meal and then tell her. I'm sure she will be excited." She spoke as I nodded. I decided to cook her favourite meal for her finishing work. The task force have been working hard lately at catching Dreykov and taking down the Widows. They also started to get some help from the FBI too. 

"You're right. I'm just worrying over nothing right." I spoke nervously.

"Exactly Wanda. She will be over the moon. She gets to have a family with the woman of her dreams." She told me as I smiled at her. She was right. This is something that we both have wanted for so long and now we can have the family we have dreamed of. So after a couple of hours Nat left and it was just me so I decided to start preparing Y/N's favourite meal ready for her coming home. I was both excited and nervous about telling her. I want her to be as excited as I am about this. 

As I was cooking the food, I heard Y/N's car pull up outside and then the door open. I felt the nerves getting too much for me to bare as Y/N's footsteps came closer.

"Hey princess. It smells amazing in here." They said as they hugged me from behind. "But I do hope that I can come home to you just resting and waiting for me to cook sometimes." She said making me heart swell at her sweetness. 

"I know baby. I just wanted to something nice for you." I told her as I turned around and greeted her with a kiss. I pulled away before she could deepen it because this is how it usually starts. One of us coming home and then we don't even make it to dinner. 

"I love you Wanda." She whispered in the space between us. 

"I love you Y/N. Now go and set the table and stop distracting me." I told her sternly making her laugh. I smiled as she walked away with cups and a a bottle of wine which I can't have before I finished cooking our dinner. Once I was plating it up. She came and took the plates from my grasp and walked them to the table before she pulled my chair out for me. I couldn't help the smile on my face as she sat beside me. We both spoke about our days. I listened as she went on about her new partner and I couldn't help but smile as she beamed about him. When we had finished, Y/N decided that she would do the dishes. I was stood watching her work as I tried to think of a way to tell her. 

"Y/N I have something that I need to tell you." I told her nervously as she turned around to face me.

"What is it princess?" She asked me with a soft look. I took a deep breath before continuing. 

"I'm pregnant." I spoke quietly. I watched as her face went blank kind of like Ross when Rachel told him she was pregnant. I stood there waiting for her to process it. My heart was beating fast I was sure it was going to explode. 

"You're pregnant?" She asked me as she pointed at me. "You are with child." She asked again. It was when I saw as a tear had escaped her eye and a smile was on her face. "You are pregnant!" She spoke excitedly as I nodded and rushed over to me and picked me up and spun me in the air before she stopped and put me back on my feet. "I can't believe this." She said as she cried happily. "We are going to be a family." She whispered as I wiped her tears away as I cupped her cheeks. 

"We are having a baby." I whispered with my own tears in my eyes. I was over the moon as I didn't expect this reaction from her. She kissed me tenderly before she rested her head on mine. 

"I know I haven't been the best wife for you but from now on, I will be here to protect and this baby at all costs." She spoke as her hand rested on my stomach as I rested my own over it. "I will love you forever." She whispered before she kissed me again. I could feel all of the love she was feeling right now in this tender kiss. I was happy that we had finally got our dream. Our family to be.
