Chapter 32

After the whole Dreykov operation everything had started to calm down. I have learned that that could either be a good thing or a terrible thing but I'm not going to dwell on that right now. Today is the day of our first scan. Wanda is now 12 weeks and she looks amazing. She has that beautiful pregnancy glow about her and she looks even more beautiful if that's possible. I was just preparing some fruit for her as she started to get ready. I wanted her to have a snack ready for on the way to the OBGYN. I know that sometimes having small snacks in between meals can help prevent morning sickness and I know how much she hates being sick. She I found out she was pregnant, I asked advice from Maria since she had to deal with Nat and she had some amazing stories to tell me. 

I was sat with Maria as Nat and Wanda were having there own conversation in the kitchen. They both claimed they needed time away from the both of us. 

"I heard it went well with the arrest of Dreykov." Maria said as she sipped her beer. 

"It did. There were no team casualties or deaths so we apprehended every Widow that was left as well as Dreykov and his ex." I confirmed with a proud smile. Every bad part about my past was now behind bars.

"What happened with his daughter?" She asked me. Everyone was concerned for the child as she had to see everything her father did. 

"Child services. She's going to find a new home and family that will help her become whatever she wants to be when she's older." I told her thoughtfully. She nodded before smirking at me. 

"How's Wanda's pregnancy been?" She asked me as I just shook my head. 

"It's been fine. Besides the mood swings. I can be half hour late and she argues with me that I am cheating on her with my partner." I told her as she burst out laughing. "And he's a dude. I'm not putting it up his or any guys ass and I sure as hell don't want theirs either." She was practically on the floor dying with laughter as she laughed at my latest argument with my wife. 

"Nat was also a bit whacko too." She spoke when she had finally calmed down. "She used to have dreams of seeing me cheating on her with someone and she would give me the silent treatment for days. I had to think of what I did wrong. Thinking it was I just folded the laundry wrong and then she finally told me." She told me as I started to laugh. "She actually made me sleep on the sofa." She finished as we both laughed at our hardships with our wives during pregnancy. 

I was just packing up the fruit as Wanda came down the stairs. She had a frown on her face which made me wonder what was wrong with her. 

"Are you ok princess?" I asked her as I approached her. She just huffed before getting a bottle of water and taking a sip. 

"Do I look fat? I feel fat." She spoke and I shook my head no eagerly. Maria had also told me not to let her wait for an answer and just give her the answer she wants. "Are you sure?" She asked me with a tilted head. I gulped before letting the words out. 

"You look even more stunning as the days go by princess." I told her softly. I was slightly frightened of her reaction since she can be unpredictable like a wild animal. 

"Thank you baby. You always know what to say to make me feel better." She smiled at me as I took a deep breath as she picked up her bag and things before taking the tub of prepared fruit from my hands. I grabbed my car keys and opened the door for her. She smiled sweetly before we started our journey to the OBGYN office. "I can't wait to see them." She whispered as she popped some watermelon in her mouth. 

"Me neither princess." I beamed at her as she gave me her adorable nose scrunch. The drive was fairly quick and the excitement and nerves within me was almost too much to bear. I jumped out as soon as we parked and ran around the car to open the door for my beautiful wife. She giggled at my excitement as she stepped out and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I held my arm for her to take which she did happily as we walked inside the building. After we gave her name we only had to wait a few short minutes before she was called. She lay on the bed, and lifted her blouse up slightly. She was still nervous about her scars even if I already told her multiple times that she is the sexiest woman on this earth. 

"This may be cold on contact but it will help us see things clearer." The doctor spoke as they squirted the gel on her stomach. I held her hand in mine as we waited patiently for the doctor to do their measurements. "You are having twins." They smiled as Wanda and I both stared at the screen as they pointed out the two different blobs. "They both have very strong heartbeats." They spoke as they let us listen to the heartbeats. We heard the fast beating overlapping each other. I smiled at Wanda as the sound filled the room. She had the biggest smile on her face before I kissed her head. "I'll just print you a picture and you are free to go." 

Once we left and started walking towards the car. I couldn't contain my happiness and pulled Wanda into a searing kiss that left her breathless. She gave me a content smile before she kissed me again and rested her forehead against mine. We both didn't care that we were standing in the middle of the parking lot as we both basked in our happiness together. The happiness of starting a family with the love of my life.
