Chapter 5

Y/N pov

I decided that I was going to visit Aunt May and Peter to tell them my plan to propose to Wanda. I know that she is my everything and I plan on spending the rest of my life with her. I woke up to the smell of pancakes wafting through from the kitchen and made my way out of our bedroom to see Wanda stood in just my shirt and her underwear as she cooked.

"Good morning baby." She greeted me when she heard the door close.

"Good morning princess." I smiled as I wrapped my arms around her waist hugging her from behind. "Did you sleep well?" I asked her as I kissed her cheek before pouring out two cups of coffee.

"I did. I always sleep well with you." She smiled as she gave me a proper kiss handing me my pancakes. "How come you're all dressed up?"

"I'm going to have lunch with Aunt May and Peter since it has been a while." I told her honestly.

"That's great. We should invite them over sometime. I'm sure they would both love to  see you more." She beamed as she sat on my lap eating her pancakes.

"That sounds great actually. We should definitely set that up." I smiled at her as I kept my arms around her waist keeping her steady. They both remained like that as they ate their breakfast. Just taking in the others company. "So what will you do while I'm gone?" I asked her as I put my boots on.

"I don't know really. Maybe just go and visit my parents or Nat while Maria is still at Quantico." She said as she got herself changed before me.

"Well please make sure that you are safe." I asked her softly before giving her a soft kiss before heading to start my journey. I couldn't wait to see what their reactions are gonna be since they were there for me a lot when I moved back to New York.

Flashback

I walked inside the building and made my way up the stairs to Aunt Mays floor. I nervously knocked on it not needing to wait too long before Peter answered it. He pulled me in for a tight hug before he allowed me inside to be met with a hug off Aunt May.

"What brings you here?" She asked as we all sat down.

"I just thought it was time to pop in and say hello." I smiled at them making Peter smile widely but Aunt May could see right through me. That was when she asked Peter to go to his room for a bit before she turned to face me.

"So what is going on?" She asked me softly. I swallowed the lump in my throat before thinking of what to say

"I have been transferred to New York to be a part of a Task Force." I told her with a small smile

"What does Wanda think about that with still being at Yale?" She asked me as I could feel my eyes stinging.

"She hasn't been in Yale for over a year now." I told her sadly.

"What do you mean?" She asked me.

"We are on a break so she moved back here and transferred to NYU." I told her as I squeezed my eyes shut to stop the tears escaping.

"Why? You were both so in love." She asked me. I told her everything that had happened between us and that she needed a chance to heal on her own however long that took. "You are so grown up and like your mother everyday Y/n." She said as she hugged me as I let my tears fall. She just stayed silent knowing that this is what I had needed in a long time before I calmed down and excused myself to splash my face before having dinner and watching a movie with them both as Peter told us about his friends at school.

I knocked on their door for Aunt May to answer it, confused as to where Peter is. She welcomed me in and made me a coffee as we both sat on the sofa side by side.
