Chapter 31

Y/N pov

Today was the day we had all been waiting for. We finally had a location on Dreykov and we were ready to finally take him down. I was nervous for the first time though because I would not only just leave Wanda but our baby as well. But this is what I have wanted to be for a long time. 

"Big day today baby." Wanda spoke as her hands wrapped around my chest as her body was flush against my own.

"It is. I have been waiting for this for a very long time." I spoke as I finished buttoning up my shirt. "I am nervous though."

"You will be fine Y/N. You have a great team to back you up and bring you home safe to me." She whispered as I turned to face her. I kissed her softly making her smile at me.

"I will see you tonight princess." I whispered as I kissed her one last time. "I love you." 

"I love you too baby." She said as I left the room and headed out to my car. The drive to the station was fairly quick. I went straight to the break room to see Bucky and Sousa there. 

"Good morning Y/L/N." Sousa greeted me with a smile as Bucky pulled me in for a hug. He is like a big brother to me and I know he will always have my back. 

"Morning guys." I spoke as I made my way over to the coffee machine. "You ready for your first raid Sousa?" I asked him as I held my cup in my hands. 

"Of course I am." He spoke with a smile. 

"Well don't worry if your nervous. Bucky here will always have our backs." I smiled as I patted Bucky's shoulder. He groaned in embarrassment making me chuckle.

"Well let's get to the briefing room before Steve finally has that vein in his head burst." Bucky spoke as we all made our way out of the room. 

"Now that is something I would love to see." I smirked as Bucky laughed. "It's like it's always there just trying to grow it's own legs like an alien." 

"Like Invaders from Mars." Bucky squealed excitedly. I nodded as we all laughed and waited for the rest of the guys. Steve started to come up with the plan. 

"We need four teams of four. There are four entrances and we have had to pick some of the rookies from patrol as well. So there will be two rookies in each team of four." He started as he started to call out names. Sousa and I had McNally and Diaz with us. They seemed far too energetic for this job. "When you come across the Widows, do not shoot to kill. I want you to disarm them before we make our way to the main office where Dreykov is hiding with his daughter. Please do not shoot in front of her." He spoke urgently as we all nodded as we took in the plan. Everyone started to get their gear after Steve dismissed everyone. We all got in our respective cars and made our way to the location. One we were all parked up, we all got out of the vehicle as quietly as possible and made our way to our positions. 

"Everyone remember their instructions?" I asked the three with me. They all nodded before I opened the door and we all walked through a dark narrow hallway. "Keep you eyes open." I whispered as I watched out for every possible attack that may come. When we rounded the next corner was when they started to shoot. I put my hand up to signal the guys to stop. I noticed there was a door open slightly just across from us. I pointed to McNally before back to me to signal her to follow my lead. 

"Cover me." I told Sousa who nodded with Diaz as they raised their weapons. I ducked down low and moved as quick as I could across the hall. Once I made sure that the room was clear and McNally joined me. I kept her to keep her eye on the other door that was in the room as I helped Sousa and Diaz takedown the Widows in the hall. One by one we managed to take down. When we approached them, we kicked their weapons away further down the hall and handcuffed them as we moved further through the building. We reached the main office at the same time as Bucky and Sam with their rookies. 

"Y/L/N and I will go first. You lot watch our backs." Bucky spoke quietly as we all nodded. Bucky and I had gotten ready to head inside the room. I opened the door as Bucky burst in first with his weapon up and ready to fire if need be. I noticed his daughter was cowered in the corner of the room with her knees up to her chest and her hands covering her ears as she hid her face in her knees. With the sniffles coming from her I could tell that she was frightened and crying. It hurt me to see someone else go through the same childhood as me and her mother is still alive and allowing it. We had Dreykov cornered now as the gun shots went on around us. 

"It's over now Dreykov." I spoke up as he just smirked. "You're coming with us." I told him as I started to put my weapon down and got my handcuffs out ready to cuff him. I have been waiting for this moment forever. All he was doing was laughing as I put his hands behind his back harshly. 

"What's so funny?" Bucky asked him.

"You are all going to be in danger while I am safe and sound." He smirked as we walked him outside. "Tell The Count I said hi when you see him." He chuckled as we put him in the back of the vehicle as McNally and Diaz took his daughter with them. Once they where gone and more units came to pick up the Widows, I was kind of worried about what he had said because they have already gone after Wanda and that cannot happen again because I won't let it. I will keep her and our baby safe if it is the last thing I do.
