Chapter 42

Wanda's pov

We have been home for a week now. Y/N has had to go back to the wheelchair for a while, which I know she hates. The twins have settled in nicely and so have we. It's been amazing getting used to family life. I just can't stop watching them sleep. 

"Hey." Y/N said as she rubbed her eyes as I came down the stairs. She was sat on the sofa, slowly falling asleep herself. 

"Hey." I said as I placed the monitor on the table before cuddling in her arms. She wrapped her arms around securely as I listened to her heartbeat. It was soothing to hear.

"Did the boys go down ok?" She asked me as she kissed my head. 

"They did." I whispered as I snuggled into her even more. "I never thought that I could love something so much until the twins came along." 

"I  know what you mean." She agreed. "I just want to be able to protect them for the rest of my life." 

I know that it has been hard on her with her back and knowing that she won't be able to walk without an aid ever again. But I know she is going to be the best she can be. 

3 months later

Y/N and I were laying with the twins in our arms while they napped. They've gotten to a stage were they won't nap in their cots so we are sat on the sofa together watching Dick Van Dyke.

"It's almost like we're on a date." Y/N whispered as I smiled at her. 

"Except with two cock blockers." I teased her making her chuckle.

"At least we don't to worry about baby number three for a while." She smirked as I nodded in agreement. "I'm hungry."

"My boobs are sore." I whined as she looked at me. 

"If we didn't have the boys here I would have had a solution." She teased me making me slap her thigh making her chuckle. 

"That's disgusting." I told her.

"That's tasty." She said as she motioned to my breasts. I groaned as I just turned back to the tv ignoring her. 

6 months

I was sat on the floor while Y/N was at physio. Maria opted to take her while I stayed at home with the twins. The two were on their play mats trying to get the toys above them. 

"Are you going to roll over." I spoke in a baby voice as I tickled their stomachs. I heard the door open to reveal my wife had come home. "How was it?" I asked her as I gave her my attention.

"It was tiring. Just trying to get used to this stick and then hopefully they can discharge me since there isn't much they can do." She shrugged as she sat behind me on the sofa. 

"Well I'm sure it won't be too long now." I told her as I turned and rested my chin on her knee with a gentle smile on my face. Her eyes went to the boys behind me with a bright proud smile on her face. 

"Did Billy just roll over?" She asked as she pointed behind me. I turned as fast as I could to see that he was now lay on his stomach. 

"Oh my god. I can't believe I missed it. The moment I have been waiting for and I missed it." I whined as Y/N just chuckled. She pulled me up onto her lap and kissed my cheek as we watched the twins babble and play. 

9 months

Both Y/N and I were sat at the table with the boys in their high chairs. Feeding them. I heard a spraying sound and looked over at Y/N who was now wearing the peas she was feeding Tommy. 

"I guess Tommy doesn't like peas." She spoke as she wiped it from her eyes. "Trade?" She asked as she took the chicken tomato from me. Thankfully Billy liked the peas making me chuckle as Tommy done the same thing with the chicken tomato. "Seriously?" I just laughed as she was covered in Tommy's food. Sporting green and red food. "This is not funny." She said as she glared at me.

"Oh but it really is." I smiled at her. I watched as she stood up slowly and walked towards me. She wore a smirk on her face as I quickly stood up and backed away from her. 

"I think you she try it." She teased me as she wiped some of the food onto her hand. She had managed to trap me between herself and the counter. 

"Don't." I told her sternly as she just smirked at me. Her hand rubbed down my face making me squeal. "You didn't."

"Oh but I did." She husked making me swallow dryly. She leaned in and captured my lips in a passionate kiss making my knees weak. "It definitely tastes better off of you." She kissed me again before she limped back to Tommy. "I think it's bath time buddy." She said as she carried him upstairs. She has gotten confident within herself since she finished physio last month. 

12 months

Y/N was sat beside me on the floor as we played with the twins again. We have been waiting for Billy to stand up. He seems to be a little behind Tommy who took his first steps last month. We watched as he crawled to the table and slowly pulled himself up.

"You did it!" I squealed as I rushed to my feet. Tommy climbed on his mama's lap and cuddled into her as she watched Billy and I with a bright smile. "He did it!" I told Y/N as she smiled proudly at him. Billy soon yawned and Tommy was already asleep in Y/N's lap. I sat beside Y/N and cooed Billy to sleep. When it was quiet, the only sounds we could hear was the sound of the twins sleeping.

"I love you so much Wanda." Y/N told me with a smile.

"I love you more." I leaned in and kissed her softly before resting my head on her shoulder. Watching the twins sleep peacefully.
