Chapter Ten - Where they Have A Date Night
Bailey's Pov

Julian and I finally got to go on our first date. Kenna did my hair and make-up and the dress I wore wasn't too exposing but it wasn't like I was about to walk a red carpet or anything.

I knew Julian loved it when I wore lace; I didn't wear pants usually when I went to bed and I felt a weird feeling thinking about how his fingers would lightly trace the lace on my underwear on my thigh and hip. I took in the grey lace dress that was a shade lighter than the grey of my tattoo and I just wanted to look nice for him, to wear something I knew he would like.

The color made my eyes pop and Kenna curled my long hair and my make-up wasn't heavy but it was noticeable. It made my face look almost flawless and as I stared at myself in the mirror I felt normal.

I felt pretty even though as I glanced at my arms I could see the scaring but for once I didn't actually feel like shattering the glass so I wouldn't have to look at my reflection. On the surface I was fine, I don't think even Julian knew really what was going on inside me.

I avoided mirrors and I know he's attracted to me, that he truly thinks I'm beautiful but I just don't see it so I just stopped trying to because it just frustrated me.

But looking at myself today I didn't hate it, I didn't hate me, I could almost see what he saw in me, what I don't think I could ever see in myself for long, maybe that would change, I hoped it would change. I looked at the healed tattoo that spanned down my arm, it made me feel prettier.

"You're so beautiful." I jumped and he was leaning against my door frame in a button down shirt, the small amount of green bringing out the color of his eyes and it was rolled up to his elbows exposing his new and old tattoos, he looked so attractive and the site of him was doing weird things to me I didn't understand.

"Thank you." I turned to face him and his eyes scanned over me.

"I like the dress, makes you look even more perfect." I flushed at the comment and he held his hand out for me to take. I caught our reflection in the mirror on the way out the door and I wondered again why he would want to be with me.

I get that people aren't all shallow but I don't even have much to offer personality wise.

"Stop whatever you're thinking, this is going to be a good night." We haven't even been together a year and it kind of scares me how well he knows me.

"I'm not."

"Yes you are; you think I don't know but I do. And you really do look beautiful Bailey; I wish you'd believe me." he didn't even have to look at me.

I've never been in his other car, I don't even know what it is but It looks flashy and expensive probably because it was. He opened the door for me and I slid into the leather seats which were cool beneath my thighs that grazed them and then he came around and as soon as he pulled out of the parking garage he reached for my hand and rested our hands on his thigh.

I relaxed into the seat and on the inside I was freaking out but there was no backing out now, when he said we were going to a nice place I didn't expect this, I felt so under dressed for this. For one there were people everywhere and not just regular people, famous people and for two the damn place had a valet.

I tensed and Julian kissed the back of my hand before getting out and handing his keys over then he came around and opened my door and I was now freaking out about this, why would he do this to me?

"Julian really?" I asked annoyed

"No hiding and if we want our relationship public here is the best place to do it." he wrapped his arm around me and we went in and were instantly seated, Julian didn't even have to give a name for the hostess to know who he was.
