FFF (Future Feline Friends)

Authors note** "In the Jungle, the Mighty Jungle, Wee-Ooh Wim-O-Weh, Ect - Favremybow" Rewritten. I only revised this one for grammar and better descriptions, I didn't change too much of the actual plot. Just kinda goofy - Sabre/Rainbow

It would be a lie to say it was a day like every other since that just didn't exist in Rainbow Town. Lucas wasn't there that day, as he was once again busy. Sabre was on the verge of logging off after a long day's work building with Rainbow. The steve himself sat at the roots of the Rainbow Tree, unfazed by the long day, looking at the flowers they had recently planted. Sabre walked over to say goodbye to Rainbow. Rainbow gave him a long, tight hug in return.

"Do you have to go?" Rainbow complained to him, his chin on Sabre's head.

"I mean, what else is there to do?" Sabre asked into his neck

Rainbow thought for a second "We... could build some more?"

"Some more what?" He asked

"I... don't know." Rainbow drew a blank "Oh! We could work on... dang it no..."

"We could make another garden?" Sabre suggested, Looking down at the colorful plants at Rainbow's heel. "Plenty of spots could use more flowers!"

Rainbow grumbled, "True... but it won't take long."

"Does it have to take long?"

"Yes! You must stay forever!" Rainbow said, squishing Sabre's face.

"Uh-huh," Sabre smirked between his hands.

"Oh! We could find more animal friends!"He bounced on the balls of his heels with vigor.

"Oh, dear..." Sabre said with concern

"No, not dear, we don't have those here, remember?" Rainbow said oblivious to Sabre's dismay "Maybe cats?" He thought aloud

"Rain, we have enough... companions," Sabre said

Rainbow dramatically gasped "How dare you." he threw himself off of Sabre "You can never, and I mean never, have enough animals."

"Oh... kay then." Sabre was yet to give in "Cats are kinda hard to find, though. We'd need a jungle and before that we need fish."

"Pleeeease." Rainbow bent over to press his face to Sabre's chest "They're so cute" He gave his best plea. A half-plead was enough to make Sabre crumble, but he fought it anyway.

"I thought you were a dog person?"

"I am, I love Pig" Rainbow said happily "but you can't limit yourself to just one animal. They are all great and I must befriend them all!"

"Yeah... you wait for that Rain." He said, sarcastically "You wait"

"I will wait!" Rainbow said triumphantly "Plus, imagine how nice it would be to have another fuzzy friend!"

"I-" Sabre sighed, already defeated by the idea of Rainbow bearing a cat "Sure."

They made their way to the bridge and started fishing off the side. They caught plenty together, collecting ten amongst themselves. Sabre said that would do, so they were next to find a jungle. They walked. And walked. And walked. Rainbow refused to give up on his future feline friends and led the way. Sabre dragged behind him. Sometime along the way, Rainbow started to sing-yell "The Lion Sleeps Tonight".

"How do you even know this song?!" Sabre complained,

"-O-WIM-O-WEH, O-WIM-O-WEH, O-WIM-O-WEH-!"

"HOW?!" he yelled irritably
