Goodbye Hawkins

"Babe, can you take that last box out?" Jade called out to Steve with her hands full.

"Yes ma'am."Steve said grabbing the box from Jades room and taking it outside.

"Hey, Jade anything else you need help grabbing?" Robin called out.

"No, I think that's it. Thank you guys so much for helping."

"No problem." Steve and Robin both said.

Jade went over to her room to look at it one last time completely empty. Steve came up behind Jade wrapping his arms around her.

"You know while you're still here, I can try to stuff you in my pocket. The pockets in these shorts are pretty spacious."

Steve kissed the top of Jades head."I don't think I'm travel size." Steve laughed.

Jade turned around to face Steve and let out a sigh."I love you."Jade said as tears stung her eyes.

"Hey. We're going to be okay. This is just goodbye for a little while, okay? Not forever...I love you, too." Steve said wiping Jades tears.

"Come on, let's go outside." Jade said as she started to walk out with Steve, but stopped when she heard noise coming from a room. "You go on, I'll be right there."

Jade walked into one of the now empty rooms and saw El crying reading a note. Jade felt her heart sink at the scene as tears fell down her face. Jade knocked on the door softly before stepping in. "You okay, El?"

El wiped her tears and folded up the note putting it into the pocket of her flannel. "Yeah." She said as she sniffled and whipped her eyes. "Time to go?"

Jade nodded softly."Yeah, baby. Time to go." Jade said as she quickly wiped a tear.

"I'll be out in a minute."

"Okay." Jade said then turned to walk out the room.

Everyone gathered around outside and said goodbye. Jade went over to Lucas and Dustin and wrapped them in a hug.

"Imma miss you guys." Jade said to the two boys.

"We're gonna miss you too." Lucas said wrapped in Jades hug.

"Come visit when you can." Dustin said.

"I will, I promise."

Jade went over to Max and hugged her tight. "Please Max if you ever need anything, just call me or write.Okay?"

Max quickly wiped a tear and nodded her head. "I will."

Jade went over and wrapped Nancy up into a hug, neither of them letting go. "I wish you guys would stay."

"I know. I'll be back to visit and Nance visit whenever you like." Jade said as Nancy nodded. Jade turned around to see Steve and Robin standing next to each other.

Jade went over to Robin wrapping her hands around her neck. "My Robin Hood. I'm gonna miss you so much."

"Why do you have to go. My first girlfriend, and you move in a matter of months." Robin said to Jade. "I uh...got you something."

"Aw Robin. You didn't have to."

"No it's fine, it's more of a deal." Robin said pulling a comic book from behind her back. Jade grabbed the comic from Robin slowly and looking at the cover.

Jade shook her head."No way. The Vision and the Scarlet Witch: Lovers and Zombies."

"Do you like it?"

"I love it. I've been dying for this comic, how did you know?"

"Steve told me how you've been rambling about the Scarlet Witch recently. And he told me he knew you didn't have that one so I got it for you."

Jade gave Robin a big hug. "Thank you, Robin. Take care of dingus for me."Jade said as Robin laughed and gave her a smile and nod. "You got it Jade Hayden."Jade turned her attention to Steve and felt herself ready to break down.

Jade hadn't even said a word to Steve yet and she already felt the tears falling down her face. Steve cupped Jades face and pulled her in, drowning her in a deep kiss.

Steve pulled away looking down at Jade as he even started to cry. Jade shook her head. "I can't leave you."

"Jade..."

"Steve, I really don't want to leave you."

"It's okay. It's okay. You wont be gone forever. We'll make it work. You can always visit, or even I could always visit."

Jade nodded."I know it's just...what about you. Your parents are constantly leaving you and now...I-I'm leaving you."

"It's okay, Jay. This isn't on you, you leaving is nothing compared to my parents constantly leaving. I understand why your mom is making this change for you guys. We're going to be okay. It's just you and me."

Jade wiped her tears and nodded."Hey, I uh... I got you something."

"Jay..." Steve started.

"It's nothing fancy, I just wanted you to have something of mine." Jade said reaching into her pocket and pulling out a small flower necklace. "It's uh..."

"The necklace you were wearing when I first saw you." Steve said as a tear fell down from his cheek.

Jade smiled. "Yeah, I found it, while I was packing. I don't know maybe it's a dumb gift, but I thought maybe you'd like it. But um...I want you to keep it. I know it's nothing big but I-..."

Steve cut her off pulling her back into a kiss. "No, no. Its perfect, thank you...I love you."

"I love you, too." Jade said. Joyce told them it was time to go. Jonathan and Will got into one car and started to drive off. In the trailer hauling everything was Joyce, El, and Jade.

Jade looked out the window watching everyone wave them goodbye, she saw Steve holding the necklace in his hand as be waved her goodbye.

Jade sat beside El and grabbed her hand as they started to pull out of the house. El looked down at Jades hand, then looked back up at Jade as they both smiled to each other through their tears, she leaned over on Jade resting her head on her shoulder as they drove off...leaving Hawkins behind.

*Ahhhhh! That's season 3 done for you!! It's 8-3-22, I'm excited to start writing season 4, tbh I wanna publish this already as is and continue to write while it's published but idk. I just feel the need to finish it first. Butttt how we liking it is the story okay for my first time?*
