The end of summer camp was here.

Everyone was outside waving the kids goodbye. "Bye kids!" Emma shouts.

"Laters."

"Peace and love."

"Bye!"

Hazel stood next to Dylan and Nick as they all watched the bus leave the camp. "Man I am going to miss those kids." Dylan walked inside the lodge. Hazel and Nick followed in and closed the door behind them.

"Well at least we have some peace and quiet for once." Dylan stretched.

Hazel rolls her eyes. "Yeah. I should probably go and grab my stuff at the archery area. Need those tools that I brought." She said.

"I-I can go with you if you like Hazel." Nick offered rubbing the back of his head.

Dylan nudged him a little. "Nice one." He whispered.

Suddenly a knock interrupted their conversation. Dylan went over to the door, opening it. It was Jacob. "Hi."

"Hey are you guys going to help with the bags or what?" Jacob asked.

Nick looked at Dylan wondering what they should do. Help or not. "I'd love to but I'm trying to uh fix this door, its making weird noises and we have to fix it." Dylan started closing the door slowly. "Dylan." Jacob said not buying it.

"I gotta get the last bags!"

"What is wrong with this thing. It keeps like closing." He closed the door and locks it.

"Dylan!" Jacob said.

"Sorry bro!" Nick said.

Hazel couldn't help but snicker. "Dylan you should let him in." She suggested.

"Nah he will find a way in. Speaking of I need to grab our phones so if you two want to look around or clean up you can." Dylan smiled and went into another room.

"That was pretty funny." Nick said.

Hazel agreed. Nothing wrong with messing with Jacob especially on the last day at camp. "Well let's head to the back of the lodge and grab my stuff."

She led Nick to the archery range behind the lodge, it was near the cabins and the poolhouse. Nick and Hazel grown very close since the day they met at orientation at camp. They got to know each other these two months and realized they had a few things in common.

A small spark was between the two but they couldn't admit it, both were shy and feel like it was impossible. But what if it was? Long distance they could do but it may become difficult.

Hazel grabbed a few arrows that were on the ground from practice the kids had a few minutes ago. "You know you are really good with that bow." Nick smiled at her.

"Thanks. Wait you seen my class?" She asked him.

He paused and tried to come up with something. "Just observing when I cook in the kitchen. Its over there, the window I mean." He mumbled.

When he finished cooking for the staff and kids he would be cleaning the dishes and watch Hazel. Observe how she talks to them. She was very good with kids and it amazed him how beautiful she was.

He admired her.

It surprised her that he would watch her class by the window but it made her smile. "I have a fan? Wow I am highly honored." She bows.

He laughs. "Seriously though you are really good at that. Where did you learn to do archery?"

"Ah well my parents are into those sport events like swordplay, lacrosse all that stuff. They want  me to take the honor and be the next member in line but I really want to do this as a career like be in the Olympics."

Hazels parents were very active and competitive in sports but they always thought she spent too much time in archery. They wanted their daughter to explore more activities but she enjoyed this one more than the others.

"I could see that and I would watch you go out there and win. You're amazing at it."

"I'm not that good Nick. Not an expert." She shrugged it off and continued picking up more arrows and placing them in her duffel bag.

Nick watched her and didn't really know what to do. He really wanted to tell her that he liked her. Sure they had a few moments alone together but nothing happened. "What about you? Got anything interesting at home?"

He shook his head. "Nah. Still trying to figure out what I should do after school."

"Well you are an excellent cook. Five star right there." She smiled.

"I appreciate it but tis not my career. I am thinking maybe wilderness explorer. I like the outdoors, love camping. Animals too." He told her.

Hazel placed her duffel bag over her shoulder and walked over to him. "I'm sure you'll figure it out Nick."

Nick appreciated her having full confidence in him but he was still unsure on what the future holds for him. "Thanks Hazel."

Hazel walked beside him as they head back inside the lodge seeing Jacob. Well at least he found a way inside to grab the bags.

"What the hell guys?" He said. He had his arms out at them.

"Okay in my defense a) it was Dylan's idea and 2) it was pretty funny." Nick said with a light chuckle.

"And Haz?" Not that nickname again. Jacob gave her that nickname since the beginning at camp, it wasn't too bad of a name. Like Hazzy? No, not that name.

"I was just observing everything and had nothing to do with it. I was minding my own business." She put her hands up in defense.

"Uh huh sure." Jacob sighs and walked away grabbing the two bags on the stairs. Hazel stood by Nick waiting for their phones and she noticed the stairs being blocked. "Why are the stairs blocked?"

"Oh Mr. H said that it keeps pesky pests from getting up there. His words not mine." He said. Hazel looked at Nick. "Well they technically would be able to go through the small cracks."

She couldn't help but say that and smile. "Like I said his words."

"Sure." Hazel chuckled softly.

"Hey Hazel, when we get our phones would you like my number? We can keep in contact?"

It surprised Hazel that he was willing to give her his number. Her cheeks were a little red. "Sure. I actually would love that. Don't tell Dylan he could get jealous." She joked.

"I promise to not tell him." Nick winks at her.

Dylan finally opened the door and hands the two their phones. "Finally I can set up my tunes up for the ride. You guys will love it."

"I bet. Like your sweet summer jams right? I did enjoy those by the fire." Hazel said.

"Ah. Thank you Hazel, at least some people love my sweet jams." He gave Nick a look.

"Hey! I like them that one song though woke me up! Made me fall out of bed." He rolls his eyes.

"Man. Wish I saw that." Hazel punched his arm gently.

"Alright you two lets give everyone their phones back."
