"This will keep her down, long enough for you to get her here so we can lock her up." Dahlia handed me the small jar.

I nodded and took the small jar, placing it in my coat pocket.

"Find her. Bring her here." Dahlia handed me the small piece of paper.

"How am I supposed to find her? She is 900 years older than me. She could sense me from a mile away." I questioned looking down at the small piece of paper.

"Figure it out." I nodded in approval and headed out.

I hated listening to her but I had to do what she said in order to see them again.

I got flashbacks of the day I turned. The day I woke up in the hospital my whole life was changed.

I remember I was 18 years old. My family wasn't doing well. I was about to leave for school and my parents were constantly fighting.

Back in that time, you couldn't just get a divorce, you had to work your problems out or just deal with them for the rest of your life.

My little sister would be left with them and I didn't want them fighting all the time while I was gone which just made the whole situation worse.

I would fight it and it wouldn't help the situation. At all.

One night we decided to go to dinner as a family. My parents were fighting and they really didn't want to go but I wanted them to get out so they could have a good time together.

We went out for dinner and for once in a long time, we all had such a good time together.

No fighting. Nothing. We were one big happy family.

On the way home, my little sister was talking about her shitty math teacher.

"He is horrible, Dad. He's always in such a crabby mood. For no reason." My sister went on and on. She was only 12. She could talk for hours and I loved it.

Sara has been my best friend my entire life. My mom announced she was having Sara on Christmas when I was six and it felt like a Christmas gift in itself.

"That's how old people are sometimes sweetie," My mom said chuckling. My mom had such a bright personality. She was the sweetest person I had ever met.

"What a crab." My dad said causing us all to laugh. My dad always made us laugh with his horrible jokes.

I was excited to go to college but I knew deep down I would really miss my family. I would miss these times with them.

We were driving towards the intersection that took us to the road that our neighborhood was on. My mom was talking about how she was so happy dinner went well.

I looked over to my left before seeing a semi-truck coming straight for us.

"Dad look out!" I shouted loudly but it was too late.

My mom and sister started screaming before I felt the impact.

Our car was spined before flipping over down the road from where we were hit.

I looked over to my sister who was unconscious and my mom was looking around. After that, everything went black.

I woke up in a hospital bed. Alone. My head hurt and I could barely look around without getting dizzy. A few minutes after waking up, a nurse came walking into the room that I was in.
