Leila left a little after the bar opened. She said she had to go home to start unpacking.

It's not like I was missing much of her presence, Easton was keeping me extremely busy. I had all of the bar and some tables.

Apparently one of the girls had to call out because she got sick, part of me thinks Easton gave her the day off since I forgot about my last shift.

I don't think I've thought clearly in the last 2 hours. All of my thoughts were clouded by what I needed to do next and a touch of a tall dark-haired man.

"Hey, can I get another one?" An old guy sitting at the bar yells over at me.

"Yeah of course coming right up!" I waved him a smile as I finished pouring another customer's drink.

I instantly started pouring him another whiskey and handing it to him.

"Hey, can I have my bill?" Another guy yells at me from across the room.

This is going to be a long night.

~~~
Once I finally had a handle on my area, Easton came out of his office and over to the bar where I was serving.
"Hey, I'm going home for the night. Are you okay with closing up?"
Since when does he leave me to close? Easton usually stays until closing every night. He will usually be my ride home on the nights I'm on the schedule to stay late.
"Yeah of course... as long as you pay me more." I send him a devilish grin.
"Fine, whatever." He rolls his eyes before heading out the door.
I guess I'm getting something out of it now. Not that I need the money but it's still fun to stand my ground with Easton.
I poured a few more drinks and collected some more tips before I started wiping down the counters.
As I was wiping the counters down someone sat right in front of me.
"Hi, what can I get-" My sentence was cut off by Grey looking at me with a wide grin painted across his face.
"Grey." I was shocked he was sitting in front of me. Part of me never wanted to see him again to keep him alive. Part of me wanted to see him every second of every day.
"Hi, Seth." His eyes softened as he looked at me. Fuck me. Not literally. Well maybe.
"Do you want a-" I reached for a glass but his hand met me there.
"I do but I came to see you. Finish working, I'll wait."
"Grey, Dahlia will kill-" His hand now grabbed mine sending shivers all through my body.
"I don't care. I'll wait." His words melted me. His words and actions make me feel things I have never felt before. Things that I don't want to feel.
I gave him a slight nod before collecting all the bills and cleaning all the tables.
I locked up all the money and cleaned all the glasses so when Easton came in tomorrow he was prepared.
When I walked back up to the counter, Grey was still there.
"I'll take that drink now." He said with a slight smile. His smile is so pretty.
I grabbed two glasses and a bottle of whiskey. I poured two servings into the glasses.
"So you work... at a bar?" He said taking down the whiskey in the glass.
"Yeah, it's my brother's bar. It was always his dream to own a bar and so when we moved here he went through with it. I promised to help him."
