It's been a few weeks since moving into the new house. It's starting to feel more and more like a home. Slowly but surely.

At first, it just felt like a long vacation but now it's becoming kind of cozy.

While we were all sitting at dinner last night, Easton announced we were going to have a family dinner with all of us.

I thought it was weird of him but it was just another thing that was adding to the list of things Easton was doing that was just weird.

Easton is usually a hard, cold asshole but lately, he's been a whole new man.

Leilah has changed him in more ways than I could ever imagine but I can't say it's impossible because I'm changing because of Grey.

I'm slowly learning about the importance of feelings and how hiding them can cause more harm than good. I would have never known that without Grey.

I read the last line of the book Grey and I are reading before he flips to the next page which ends the chapter.

Grey closes the book and sets it on the nightstand to his right.

"No I want to keep reading, it's just starting to get good," I whine and yes bad asses whine sometimes too.

"Baby, we've been reading all day. If I read one more word, my head is going to explode." Grey grabbed onto me and buried his head into the crock of my neck.

"Fine, no more reading today but we're finishing that book tomorrow." I hold up my pinky finger signaling him to promise.

"Deal." He hooks his pinky in mine and slightly shakes.

He continues to hold my pinky while he uses it to pull me closer to him before pressing his lips to mine.

His lips taste sweet like sweet candy and his lips are addicting like a shot of my favorite alcohol.

Our kiss is interrupted by the sound of a knock at my door.

"Come in," The door opens slightly and Leila's head pops in.

"Can I steal her for a moment?" She locks eyes with Grey for a second and then looks at me.

"Yeah, of course, she's all yours." Grey pulls my whole hand into his and leaves a kiss on the top before letting it go.

I crawl out of bed and follow Leilah out of my room and into the living room located on the right side of the house that faces the forest.

This room has definitely become one of my favorite rooms in this entire house. The whole room has windows all around it displaying the forest that surrounds the house. It has become my favorite place for reading and painting.

We sit on one of the couches and I turn towards her.

"What's up?" I ask propping my elbow up onto the back of the couch and holding my head in my hand.

"You sound like a teenage boy when you say that." Leila looks at me and laughs.

"Oh shut up, you know what I meant."

"I just wanted to talk to you, your brothers are chopping wood for the fireplace and I'm bored." Leila is one of those people who always has to keep her mind busy.

Which doesn't bother me one bit because I am the exact same way. They say opposites attract but for me and Leila it's always been the opposite. We get along so well because we are almost the same person.

We sit on the couch and talk about random things. Things that aren't even relevant to life right now.

Our talks are always interesting because our lives are so different and she is human so it's interesting for me especially. She gives me a different perspective on life.
