"What I don't understand is how Easton hasn't gotten out himself?" Nick said.
It's been a few days since Easton had been taken. Leilah came over so we could all try to make some kind of plan to get him back.
"Knowing Easton he would have killed her by now," I said leaning against the counter next to Grey.
"We need to see if we can reach him. If we can then that means she must have him under something." Leilah says getting her Grandmother's spell book out of her backpack.
"He can't be...dead right?" Nick asked switching his eyes from me to Leilah.
"No, we wouldn't have been able to locate him if he was dead," I responded to Nick while walking into the living room to grab candles.
I brought them back into the kitchen and set them on the ground.
"Grey. Lights please." Leilah said as she sat down next to me.
Grey walked over to the light switches and flipped them off.
I lit all the candles and started reading the chants out loud.
"I'm getting nothing," I said stopping the chants. I look over at Grey and see his eyes focused on me.
"Try again, you got this," His voice is calm and reassuring so I try again.
Leilah joined in with me but once again I couldn't see or hear anything.
"He's in a coma. He has to be." I let go of Leilah's hand and stood up in frustration.
"How are we going to get him out of a fucking coma?" If Easton were here, he would tell me to watch my language.
"We'll figure it out." Grey's voice spoke from behind me. His arms were now wrapped around my neck from behind, pulling me into him.
It was comforting. It gave me hope but still, I was mad.
I am tired of this old hag messing with my family. I don't care what she wants she needs to just back off.
"I'll go to my grandmother and ask her," Leilah said patting my shoulder.
"Thanks, Lei." She gave me a wave goodbye before walking out the front door.
"I'll go check on the bar and make sure it's still up and running," Nick said grabbing his keys and walking out behind Leilah.
"What can I do?" Grey was standing next to me now leaning on the counter again.
"I think I'm going to try looking in some of my mother's books. You don't have to help if you aren't up for it." I went to the fridge and reached into it grabbing a bottle of mango crush.
"I'm most likely the reason Dahlia was set off and took Easton so I'm going to help in every way I can." Grey was now reaching into the fridge for a bottle of water.
"Plus it gives me a good time to check out the library you guys have."
A man who likes books. Attractive.

After a couple of hours, Leilah walked into the library where both Grey and I were reading books about Witcraft.
"I think I found something," Leilah said laying a book in front of us.
"Tell us what you've got," Nick said walking into the library. He looks stressed and tired. He called me when he was at the bar because I had to explain to him how Easton likes things.
I need someone to remind me to have Easton give us a rundown of what he wants us to do in situations like these but I am hoping I won't need to know.
I am hoping that a situation like this never happens again.
