It was almost the end of our "lay low" day when Easton finally came home from working at the bar all day.
He ended up playing a round of Sorry with us which is something I never thought I would ever see in my life but here we are.
We finished cleaning up after making an early dinner.
"Thanks for everything, I should probably get going," Leilah said reaching down for her bag.
"No, stay," Easton said in a firm voice making his way over to where Leilah was staying.
"I have to go home at least to check on my grandma. Plus you have work in an hour." Leilah said continuing to make her way to the front door.
"I'll come with you then. I took the night off." Easton stated.
I felt like I was watching an episode of a romantic TV show. The "handsome" bad boy has a soft spot for the drop dead gorgeous girl.
"What do you mean you took off?" I butted in.
"It's my bar, if I want to take a day off to spend the night with MY girl, I will." He really emphasized "my."
"Okay okay." I stepped out of the kitchen and walked up to my room where Grey was.
He was casually laying on the bed flipping through pages of my drawing book.
"Hey hey!" I rushed over to him and snatched the book out of his hands.
"Nope! You don't get to look at these." I held the book close to my chest.
"Why not? They are amazing, truly." Grey was now sitting up and I was sitting across from him on my bed.
"It's not that I don't think they're good, I draw what I'm thinking, and what I'm thinking is dark sometimes."
When art is your only escape it can become a little scary for those that don't understand.
"I want to know what you're thinking. Even if it's dark and dangerous, I want to know every thought that goes through that beautiful mind of yours." He gently tapped his finger on the side of my temple.
"Maybe another day," I said getting up to go put the book away.
"I saw your drawings of me." My head immediately snapped in his direction, he was looking at me with the biggest grin on his face.
Before I could say anything, someone knocked on my door.
I opened the door and let Nick in. He was still limping around from our prank earlier. I am surprised he isn't carrying an ice bag around with him too.
"We should go out tonight, Easton isn't home so it would be fun," Nick said playing with the paintbrushes sitting on my desk.
"I don't think that's a good idea," I said as I took the paintbrush out of his hand.
"Come on! It will be fun. When was the last time we went out together?"
"Do you want to go out?" I looked over at Grey who was in the exact same position as he was in before Nick came in.
"I wouldn't mind a drink or two." Nick instantly started cheering as if he just won the Super Bowl.
"Get dressed lovebirds!" He sang as he exited my room.
My right hand was on my forehead due to his outrageous behavior. He acts like the youngest child sometimes.
When he left I immediately went to the closet to find something to wear.
As I was flipping through all my nice clothes, hands gripped my waist. I was pressed against Grey's front.
"If you think I look like those pictures, my confidence is now through the roof." His breath blew onto my neck making me shiver.
