I am currently lying in bed in the middle of both Leilah and Grey. Tell me about an awkward situation.
Leilah decided to spend the night but Easton wanted to catch up on work that he had missed since being gone.
So Leilah wanted to hang out with Grey and I. Don't get me wrong I love spending time we both of them but spending time with both of them at the same time...
It feels a little weird laying in bed with my best friend who used to come over for sleepovers and lay in the same spot Grey sleeps every night.
"Too bad Grey and Easton didn't get along they could sleep together so we could have a sleepover like old times," Leilah says. I can't help but laugh at the thought of Grey and Easton sleeping together.
"Yeah that would be fun but Easton would kill Grey," I said causing us to laugh in sync. I didn't hear Grey laughing so I looked over to see him side-eyeing Leilah and me.
"It's funny for you guys cause you're not the one whose life is on the line day in and day out," Grey says making me laugh harder. Leilah is practically off my bed she is laughing so hard.
"Don't be dramatic, I wouldn't let him kill you," I said pinching his cheek.
There was a knock on my door causing us all to look up to find Easton at my door.
All he did was raise his finger and point for Leilah. She immediately went to him. I instantly wanted to puke but I stopped myself. I am still struggling with the fact that my best friend and brother sleep together.
"You guys better be quiet, I actually would like to sleep tonight," I yelled as Easton shut my door with the biggest smirk on his face.
"He is gross," I mutter still sitting close to Grey on my bed.
"You know if you want to have a sleepover with Leilah, I can take the couch," Grey says finally. My heart throbbed a little when I heard his words. So thoughtful.
"It would be different. I don't think I would like it." I got up from my bed and headed to the bathroom to get ready for bed before he could ask what I meant.
I meant that I would miss him next to me every night. His warmth. His presence.
I love Leilah but it wouldn't be the same.
When I exit the bathroom, Grey is shirtless with black sweatpants on.
I scoot into bed next to him and immediately scoot over to him.
The entire time I was in the bathroom, I was thinking what I would say if Grey asked what I meant about my comment before I went into the bathroom.
He hasn't asked what I meant by it and my bold side takes over to tell him what I meant.
"I meant I like having you in my bed every night, I would miss you if it were anyone else." I said emphasizing 'you'.
Grey doesn't say anything, he places a kiss on the top of my head and pulls me closer to him.
I leaned my head into the crook of his neck while his fingers traced circles on my hip.
That was enough to put me to sleep.
~~~
I woke up the next morning on my back and Grey was now laying on his stomach.
I moved over and pressed my head to his chest. I listened to his heartbeat and the sound of his breathing for a while. That might sound weird but the sound of his heart is the most calming thing I've ever heard in my entire existence.
