Y/n's pov:

The room was silent while Dami stared into your soul. You had told her about the government. In her eyes, you could see disbelieve.

"But that is not all." You pointed out.

Dami's face was expressionless.

"After everything you just told me. You expect me to believe that there is more?" She asked in a calm tone.

"Sounds like you think I lie." You replied and waited for her response.

It took her a while. She was not the talkative type of person. You already noticed that back when the two of you slept together.

"Don't get me wrong but the government trying to bring the mafia and the assassins down after they let us do everything we wanted for the last fifty years sounds a little bit strange." The assassin leaned back in her chair.

"It is true. They started to kill members of smaller organizations and even assassins. You don't want to help your guild and let the government kill every single one?" You said and again the other woman stood silent.

"Because that is what they will do. They will hunt us down one by one. Not a single person will be left and after that, they probably take over the underworld." You explained in a sharp tone.

The assassin seemed to think about your words as the room turned silent. It took you an hour to tell Dami the whole truth and she had listened to you carefully. As long as you talked her facial expression never changed. She was not surprised when you told her that they didn't target you and only wanted the document you carried with you.

"So you are saying us working together could stop all of this?" She finally asked.

"Probably." You replied.

"And what do I gain from our little cooperation?" Dami wanted to know.

You hoped that she asked that and now you could finally use your biggest trump card.

"Apart from you and your guild making it out alive, there is not much I can offer." You said and started your little game.

"Then I think I have to decline." The assassin smirked. "And now take these chains of my wrists and let me go. I'm finished listening to your lies."

"Do you think we will let you go after you decline? There are plenty of other assassins out there who would gladly help us in exchange for their life. We will kill you. " You pointed out.

"So this is how it is?" Dami had a sad smile on her face.

You just played with her. In reality, you had another offer for her but you wanted to see how she reacted and there was no need to say that you were surprised.

"She is not afraid to die." You thought.

You were in situations like this before. Usually, the other person broke out in tears and bagged you to spear their lifes but Dami was different. She seemed to accept her fate.

"Time to end this little game." You thought and leaned over the table.

"Anyways, either you help us catch the mole or you die, Lee Yubin." You smirked and saw how her expression changed.

In her eyes, you could see surprise and fear.

"How do you know my name?" She whispered.

"Oh, I know a lot of things about you." Your smirk got wider. "you were an orphan and came into foster care after your parents died.

"Correction, after the mafia killed my parents." She said with anger in her voice.

"You lived in foster care until you were fourteen. Then you and your brother who was already of legal age escaped your abusive foster parents. After that, the guild must've taken care of you. The next two years you spend training to be a killer until your brother joined the army but he vanished without a trace leaving you alone in this cold world. Do you want me to go on?" You said and was sure she hated you right now because of the daggers in her eyes.
