Dami's pov:

It was still snowing while they made their way to the government's house. They couldn't use the car because it would give them away plus Y/n had chosen an unlikely route through the middle of a forest.

"I love snow but why does it have to be so cold?" Dami cursed in her mind and followed the other woman.

Y/n was silent the whole time. It seemed that the underboss was not in the mood to talk so Dami decided to stay silent as well.

"Are you warm enough?" Y/n suddenly broke the silence and turned around while still walking

The Harpy wore a thick winter coat. She had decided to pull her hood up to protect her head from the cold while a white scarf covered most of her face. Dami thought the underboss looked cute in her outfit.

"Yes," Dami replied with her hands in her pockets but the truth was that she already had cold feet and her cheeks were burning from the wind.

"Good, we will be outside for a while." Y/n pointed out and Dami cursed in her mind again.

"I should've brought winter boots like Y/n." The assassin thought as a big house came into sight as the forest ended abruptly.

"Let's hide here," Y/n suggested and pointed to a bush.

Dami nodded and together they made themselves comfortable in the bush. A few moments passed Y/n spied on the house with the binoculars she brought with her.

"Nothing out of the ordinary just the three black cars in front of the house." The underboss pointed out and handed Dami the telescope.

Dami took a good look at everything and memorized every detail of the house and its surroundings. It was one of her habits to make an escape plan in case something goes wrong. Another few moments passed and three men came out of the building. All of them wore black coats but none of them was her brother.

"What are they doing?" Y/n asked and shifted a little closer to Dami.

Their shoulders were touching and if they wouldn't be on an important mission Dami would've enjoyed the closeness.

"I don't know but it seems that they leave," Dami replied.

"Without a car?" Y/n pointed out.

It was true the three men ignored the cars and started walking down the road.

"Suspicious," Y/n whispered.

"It is at least a 30-minute walk to the village. Why don't they take a car?" Dami wondered.

"You should follow them. I will stay here." Y/n suddenly suggested.

"Isn't that a little bit too risky? What if I get caught?" The assassin asked.

"You do what I say," Y/n replied a little angrily.

Without another word, Dami stood up. She brushed the snow away from her clothes and followed the three suspicious men.

Y/n's pov:

Dami's steps faded in the distance while you cursed at yourself for being such an asshole.

"Her concern is justified. I should've been so harsh to her." You scolded yourself as you continued to spy on the house.

After five minutes more agents of the government exited the house. One of them looked like Dami's brother but you were not sure about it. They all got into the cars and left.

"What?" You were confused.

Why would the other three walk while these assholes used the cars? You brooded over it for a while and stood up.
