The next day:

Dami's pov:

After a sleepless night in one of the cells, Dami got ordered to Y/n's office. The assassin had no other choice than sleeping in one of the cells because only employees of the organization were allowed to get a room at the HQ. Gahyeon and Siyeon were already inside and waiting as Dami stepped inside. Y/n was the only person missing. The whole night Dami had brooded over the Harpy's behavior.

"First she wanted to kiss me and when I tried to flirt with her she just left me." Y/n was a mistery to Dami. "But I hope I didn't say something wrong.

Was it a mistake to flirt with her? Was that the reason for the underboss to leave so abruptly? This kind of question kept her up all night and now she thought that she scared Y/n away. Dami had stared at the ceiling while holding the Harpy's knife.

"You look tired." Gahyeon suddenly broke the silence.

Dami looked up and met the smiling face of the pink-haired girl.

"Let's say that the prison beds are not as comfortable as they look." Siyeon joked.

Even though the underboss always had a scarf covering her face Dami knew she saw that woman somewhere before. The long black hair and these observant eyes looked so familiar but Dami couldn't remember where they had met.

"Have you read the book I gave you?" Gahyeon asked.

The assassin nodded.

"How was it? I think the ending sucked a little but I guess we can't change that." The medic-girl smiled.

"It was good. I will give it back to you as soon as I will get the chance." Dami replied.

"Oh, you don't have to give it back. It is a gift." Gahyeon pointed out.

"Thank you." The assassin said.

Dami saw the jealous look in Siyeon's eyes and she was sure that the two other women were in a relationship or at least friends with benefits but whatever it was it was not in Dami's interest. All that interested her was the mission and maybe a hot underboss named Y/n.

Y/n's pov:

You ran through the hallway. The first thing you noticed after you woke up from one of your longer naps was that your knife was missing so you searched at the last location you saw it but it wasn't in the meeting room. All that was left was the mysterious cut in the wall. After that, you searched at a few other places but you had no luck either and when you looked at your wristwatch you realized that you were running late for the meeting with the others. Last night you had sent them a text to meet up with you and now you were the one that wasn't on time and you hated that.

As you entered the meeting room everyone else was already waiting but one person immediately caught all of your attention. It was the assassin. She sat in one of the corners and seemed to mind her own business but by just sitting there she looked so damn beautiful that your heart skipped a beat. You cursed at yourself for being so obsessed with her. Last night you had asked yourself why you almost kissed her and you were afraid of the answer because you know damn well why you wanted to feel the touch of her lips again. Suddenly a voice pulled you out of your thinking.

"Look who finally shows up." Siyeon mocked you.

The death glare you shot in her direction immediately shut her up and suddenly the loose string of her sleeve seemed to be more interesting than your late arrival.

"Anyway, we have to plan this mission and put it into action as soon as possible." You pointed out calmly as you sat down.

The assassin's gaze was fixed on you the whole time. It made you nervous and god knows nothing in this world could make you nervous not even when someone held a gun to your head but somehow the other woman had this effect on you.
