Y/n's pov:

Dami followed you up the stairs. In one hand she held the flashlight and in the other, she held her gun. There was only one other floor in the building and you hoped that it was empty as well. You opened the door carefully and gazed inside. A strong smell of cigarette smoke and old sweat immediately filled your nose. There were old mattresses on the floor as well as used needles. As you walked a little deeper into the room another smell got picked up by your nose.

"These damn junkies." You mumbled as you took a huge step over a puddle on the floor.

The strong smell of urine embraced you and your eyes started to water for a moment until you got used to it. Dami hesitantly followed you.

"Looks abandoned." She said.

"Yeah, but this looks a little newer." You replied and pointed to a mattress with a blanket and a pillow on it. "Like it was recently used."

A few magazines lay next to the matress and you were sure they were filled with pictures of beautiful naked ladies.

"I think he was here not long ago." Dami seemed to agree as she took a closer look.

"Careful. There are needles everywhere." You warned her as she lifted the blanket.

"Was he able to leave the building without us noticing it? I mean your spy saw him get in here right?" Dami asked.

"According to them, there should also be at least five men of the government." You replied and your gut told you to leave this place as fast as possible.

After a quick look around the room, you decided to head back to the docks.

"Let us go." You said and already started to walk but Dami's voice stopped you.

"Wait." She said.

"Did you find something?" You asked and walked back to her as she pulled out a piece of paper from under the pillow.

Dami stood up and opened it while you looked over her shoulder. What you read on the paper made your stomach turn.

In big red letters stood: Ich hab dich gefunden, Harpy!*

Not a lot of people knew that you were fluent in German and this shocked you to the core. Whoever this person is that lured you into this building knew a lot about you.

"She was right. We should have left earlier." You thought as you cursed in your mind.

"What kind of language is this?" Dami asked as she looked at the letters on the paper.

Without a reply, you grabbed her arm and dragged her to the door. You fucked up and now maybe the both of you would die.

"I need to get her out no matter the cost." Your brain was racing as you started to run.

The assassin got dragged down the stairs by you while she still held the paper. The red letters seemed to mock you as left the staircase. You needed to leave as fast as possible but Dami suddenly stopped in the middle of the hall.

"What does it say?" She asked.

"It doesn't matter we need to go! Now!" You said.

Her face showed that she was confused.

Dami's pov:

She never saw the Harpy like this. In Y/n's eyes was fear and everyone knew that the Harpy was never afraid. The thing that was written on the paper must've scared the underboss but unfortunately, Dami was not able to read it. Y/n grabbed Dami's arm again but the assassin brushed it off with a swift movement.
