Jimin's pov:

It snowed heavily when he walked to the warehouse. Y/n had ordered him to inspect the load before they moved the drugs to another place. She was back for a few days and her mood was bad.

"Hey boss, we packed everything. We just need your approval for the transport." Suga said as soon as he noticed the black-haired man.

"Perfect. Y/n will be pleased to hear that." Jimin replied and inspected the truck.

Everything seemed to be fine. No rats had snacked on the drugs. A success.

"Looks like the cats do a good job. The load is intact." Jimin said as he grabbed the document from Suga.

He signed it and knew if something went wrong with the load Y/n would probably break his arm or worse. The woman's mood was so bad that even Jimin feared her.

"Yeah, I'm surprised how effective they are." Suga agreed as Jimin handed him the piece of paper back.

"Ensure the load gets there safely unless you want to feel Y/n's wrath." The black- haired man said.

"She is in a bad mood lately." Suga pointed out.

"She hates to be here. She always complains about it and I guess she feels like an outcast since she is basically banned from the HQ." Jimin explained.

"Well, I'm just glad I'm not her assistant." Suga chuckled.

"Careful what you say or I might rethink my decision." The annoyed voice of Y/n echoed through the hall.

"Sorry boss." Suga immediately apologized and bowed in the Harpy's direction.

"Yeah, yeah get lost. I need to speak with my assistant." Y/n shooed him away.

Suga bowed again and fled out of the big hall. Y/n waited until he was out of earshot before she turned to Jimin. The black-haired man prepared himself for a lecture. As he waited for the underboss to speak he inspected the woman. She looked tired and the dark rings under her eyes were bigger than usual. The woman suffered and Jimin wondered why. It wasn't the usual insomnia that nagged on her there was something else.

"We had a meeting a few days ago and I asked Handong about your promotion." Y/n started and from the tone her voice held he knew that there was bad news coming. "The boss said you are not ready for it. I'm sorry."

"It's okay. I'm actually glad that I don't have this kind of responsibility and I like to be your right hand." Jimin replied.

"Now you are trying to fool me." Y/n chuckled and for the first time in days, she smiled.

"No, you are my best friend. To work with you is an honor." Jimin said with all honesty.

For a moment, there was surprise on the Harpy's face but it faded away quickly.

"I'm glad you are so loyal and I'm glad that you stay with me a little longer. Soon you will be an underboss as well and you lead your own troop. I'm looking forward to see what you are capable of." Y/n laid her hand on his shoulder and smiled.

"So and what is the good news?" Jimin asked

"God, you know me too well." Y/n pulled her hand back.

"Yeah, you always tell the bad news first." The man shrugged his shoulders.

"We will get another load tomorrow. I know they are supposed to deliver in a few days but Moonbyul just called me and she said that they improved their production and are now able to produce a lot more. I agree to take care of the distribution." Y/n explained.
