Dami's pov:
Back in her cell, she thought about the things she saw today. The Harpy was quiet on the way back and Dami figured it was because of the things she said at lunch. Y/n had locked her inside the cell again but before she left Dami asked her if she could use the swimming pool. The underboss assured her she would be able to use it after showing her loyalty. Her last words before she left were still in Dami's head.
"Sure you can use it. Show us your loyalty and you can do what you want in the HQ. A part from killing people and escape of course." The Harpy had said.
"She is so different. I want the nice and soft Y/n back but she always acts so cold around me. Is that her real self or is she just acting?" Dami asked herself.
It must've been dinner time soon but Dami was not hungry. The assassin heard the door open and some light steps coming towards her cell.
"Hi, Dami." A lovely voice said. "I thought you might want some entertainment while you are stuck in this cell."
The assassin turned her head and laid eyes on the pink-haired medic girl. In her hand, she held a book. Dami was surprised to see her here. Gahyeon doesn't seem like the type of girl that visited prisoners.
"That was not necessary." The assassin pointed out and stood up from her uncomfortable bed.
"You are part of the organization now and it is my job to take care of you." Gahyeon smiled.
She reached through the bars and handed Dami the book.
"I heard Y/n had the honor to show you around. I bet she was harsh towards you but don't worry she is a sweetheart." The medic girl said.
"Not when I am around," Dami mumbled and examined the book.
"You will see that she can be charming if she wants." Gshyeon chuckled.
"If you knew that I already fell for her charms that night you would be surprised." The assassin thought.
"Thanks for the book," Dami said and returned to bed.
"No need to thank me. Your blood results were good by the way." The medic replied.
"Good to know," Dami whispered.
She was sure that Gahyeon was too far away to hear her.
"Anyways I leave you alone now," Gahyeon said.
In her voice swung a tone of happiness and Dami was sure the pink-haired girl was smiling. It seems that Gahyeon was a happy person. The complete opposite of Dami. The Assassin always tried to hide her feelings and doesn't show emotions. It was better this way. Acting cold towards everyone was her way of feeling safe. Only with Y/n, it was a little different. Dami wanted to show her real self but she was scared plus she didn't know the underboss well enough to let her guard down completely. There was just this feeling Dami got whenever Y/n was close.
Later:
Y/n's pov:
"No. Not under any circumstance, I will take her with me." You said to your boss.
"It was your idea to ask her for help. I guess it is only fair that you keep an eye on her plus we need to know what she is capable of. Take her with you and observe her." Handong replied as she played with a knife.
The blonde boss stood by the window and looked at the city. The light was fading and the streets soon will be covered with the darkness of the night. Only the street lights will help the people find their way through the night.
"How about the plan to get the information we need?" You asked.
"Siyeon and I will work on it while you and the assassin take care of the business down by the docks," Handong replied.
