Hyunjin skidded into the kitchen looking for a coke, and bumped into the chair placed by the dining table. "OWWIEE" He yelped, groaning at his clumsiness. He sat down on the floor pouting, as he cradled his poor toe.
His eyes fell on file, he had curiously grabbed it. His eyes scanning the patient's name. Kim Y/n.
He opened the file, scanning the file.
_____________________________Tears slipped your eyes, as you closed your eyes. Silently, you struggled to breath and you whispered voice hoarse. "D-ont, let him know please...,"
Hyunjin shook his head almost far too quickly, his eyes were wet with tears and guilt rose in them, but they shone with determination as he gritted out, "He can't know."
Regret flashed through his heart, and his hands clenched. His jaw was set, he took a deep breath, speaking out the next words through a bleeding heart. "But that doesn't mean you can hurt him, however you like..."
You looked at him, and confusion rose you eyes. He shook his head, kept shaking it. He could drown in guilt, the ocean of his own regret dragging him deep.
He needed to grit out the words he spoke, ever so coldly, "You can't hurt my Hyung, Y/n-shi." Just like that in one evening you had lost a friend, he stared at you with a venomous glare that seemed protective towards your love.
His eyes left yours, he couldn't bear to see the hurt, as he seeked forgiveness to his brother for requesting a heartbreak from you.
"You can't let him know, Y/n..., You can't be with him." His words made your heart stop, and you froze. You looked at him in disbelief, somehow something that you had accepted since the start of this, reflected right at your face. You can't be with him.
Your expression killed Hyunjun, but his determination didn't waver slightest bit, as he spoke drowning in guilt. "He loves you, god forbid Y/n-shi, if you die on him, I will kill you."
Tears stung his eyes, his hands clenched as he felt like the biggest asshole in the world. "I have seen hyung die each moment before our debut." He chuckled bitterly, a breathy chuckle. "He had always been the most hopeful of our debut." Tears fell of his eyes, on his hands. No sobs left his lips, but his eyes bled tears that indicated pain more than those wounds that bled blood.
"I can't see him dying all over again." He exhaled, his tounge poking his cheeks, as he shook his head. His eyes were stern, glaring like burning ambers as he stared at you. He shook his head, sneering, "Not for you, Y/n-shi."
His words hit you harder than bullet, breaking and tearing you apart piece by piece and somehow they managed to convince you. "I, I know if you would leave, it would hurt him so much, it would kill a piece of him." Another tear slid down his cheek, and he clenched them shut, as if trying to block out his thoughts. He whispered, "and it might kill me for doing that to him, but...," his voice cracked, as if breath betrayed him. His nails digged his hand, and he took a deep breath to hold his composure when he did speak up. "Its still, still so much better than the pain he would feel upon your death."
When he opened his eyes, they were conflicted, contradictory emotions raged his eyes. Guilt was eating him alive, but their was a cruelty that seemed as hardened as stones. You could see a hatred, that seemed softened with just a tiny bit of love. There was hesitation in hurting you, but determination in not letting his brother get hurt. He knew he had no right to speak between your relationship, but he couldn't imagine his Hyung hurting over something that had no guarantee. He knew Bangchan won't ever leave you if he came to know about your disease. Even you knew it.
