The one and only part 3 chapter 8 -
At the Quartermaine Mansion. Josslyn and Lila Rae had just finished lunch when Skye came in and sat beside them. 'Girls, I have to tell you something. I love both of you, and no matter what happens, we will always be a family. Josslyn, your father would want me to do the right thing by you, so you're going to live with your mother,' Skye said. 'Mommy out of jail?' Josslyn asked as Carly entered. 'Yes, I am,' Carly replied. Josslyn ran into Carly's arms as Carly picked her up. 'Will I still see Josslyn?' Lila Rae asked. 'Yes, we are a family, in a way,' Skye said. 'Yes, you both can have sleepovers at each other's house,' Carly added. 'What about Christmas?' Lila Rae asked. 'We will figure all this out as we go,' Skye said. 'Yes,' Carly agreed. 'Josslyn, I'm glad your mother is back,' Lila Rae said. 'Thanks,' Josslyn answered. 'Lila Rae, why don't you go with Josslyn to get her belongings?' Skye asked. 'Yes, Mother,' Lila Rae replied. They left together. 'Thanks, Skye. When is Jax's funeral? I'd like to be there,' Carly asked. 'I need to plan it today,' Skye said. Skye poured herself some water at the bar. 'Skye,' Carly said as she approached. 'I just keep thinking Jax and I never got our happy ending,' Skye shared. 'I know it's hard, but think about the child you're carrying — Jax's child,' Carly advised. 'Yes, I will keep this baby safe. I hope it's another son,' Skye said. 'Another son?' Carly asked. 'Jax and I had an affair in Spain, and I ended up pregnant, but I lost the baby,' Skye revealed. 'I'm sorry,' Carly responded. 'Me too. That's when you and Jax were married,' Skye added. 'I'm not surprised Jax and you hooked up,' Carly said. 'Yeah. Can we do this? Be a family for our children?' Skye asked. 'Yes, I think we can,' Carly agreed. 'Who would ever know we're on the same side?' Skye asked. 'Yeah,' Carly replied as AJ entered. 'Carly,' AJ said. 'AJ, look, I will back off. You and Michael get to know each other. He's eighteen now, and I can't stop him, but I will not let you hurt my son,' Carly declared. 'I will not hurt Michael. All I want is a chance with my son. Michael and I are opening a restaurant called Lila's, with a shopping center and hotel. It's my chance with my son and I will not blow it,' AJ stated as Michael entered. 'Mother,' Michael said. They shared a hug. 'AJ, let's go check on the girls,' Skye suggested. Skye took AJ's hand, and they left, closing the door behind them. 'You're becoming soft,' AJ commented. 'No, I'm just doing the right thing for my stepdaughter,' Skye responded. Michael and Carly talked. 'I'm glad Skye got you out of there,' Michael said. 'Me too. Josslyn needs me,' Carly responded. 'Yes, she does, and so does Morgan. Right now, I need to be a Quartermaine and get to know my father. It's up to me,' Michael said. 'You're right, but I will never stop protecting you,' Carly assured. 'I know, but AJ won't hurt me,' Michael asserted. 'Alright, I'll let it go. So, do you want to go shopping and do the restaurant thing?' Carly asked. 'Yes, in honor of Great-Grandmother,' Michael replied. 'Lila loved you. I hope it's a hit and that AJ doesn't disappoint you,' Carly said. 'He won't,' Michael replied. Skye, Lila Rae, and Josslyn returned. 'Josslyn, are you ready to go?' Carly asked. 'Yes,' Josslyn responded. 'Thank you, Skye. We will figure this all out; I promise. Lila Rae, you and Josslyn can still be friends,' Carly added. 'Thanks, Mrs. C,' Lila Rae said. 'I will call you later about Jax's funeral,' Skye mentioned. 'Thanks,' Carly said. Josslyn and Carly left. 'Skye, thank you for doing this,' Michael said. 'You're welcome. Who would have thought I'd do the right thing?' Skye replied. 'I did,' Alan said as he entered. 'You're not the same Skye you used to be,' Alan commented. 'Thanks. I need to go plan Jax and Jane's funeral,' Skye said. 'Do you want me to go with you?' Alan asked. 'Please. Lila Rae, stay here,' Skye requested. 'Okay,' Lila Rae said. Skye and Alan left.
