The One and Only part 3 ch 28

The one and only part 3, chapter 28 ~ "Baby Sax"

At General Hospital, Liz was working at the nurse's station when Skye and Monica arrived. "I'm here to see Dr. Kelly," Skye said. "I will take you to the office," Liz replied. "We can go ourselves," Monica said. Skye and Monica then went into Dr. Kelly's office, where she was already there. "Dr. Kelly, I asked Monica to come with me," Skye explained. "Good, I need you to get undressed so we can do an ultrasound," Dr. Kelly said. "Alright," Skye responded. Dr. Kelly and Monica left the room so Skye could get undressed.

In the hallway, Dr. Kelly and Monica were talking. "How is Skye's pregnancy going?" Monica asked. "Good so far, but stress isn't good," Dr. Kelly replied. "Skye has to have this baby," Monica said. "We will make sure she does," Dr. Kelly assured her. They returned to the room, where Skye was lying on the table. Dr. Kelly performed the ultrasound while Monica held Skye's hand. "Is it too early to know the sex?" Skye asked. "No, do you want to know?" Dr. Kelly asked. "Yes," Skye replied. "Let's see what you're having," Dr. Kelly said as she looked at the screen. "You're having a boy and a girl," she announced. "Twins!" Skye exclaimed. "Yes. Skye, so far the pregnancy is doing well, and I know you're dealing with a lot of stress right now, but you can't get upset, and you have to take care of yourself," Dr. Kelly advised. "I will do whatever I have to do for this baby; it's my last connection to Jax," Skye said. "We will make sure you have the best pregnancy," Dr. Kelly promised. "Thanks," Skye replied. "I will let you get dressed," Dr. Kelly said and left.

"Oh, I've got a lot to do. Twins!" Skye noted. "Yes, you do," Monica agreed. "You know Jax and I lost a son. I was pregnant when I moved back to London; he was a boy, and I wanted to name him Jasper. But I lost him. Do you think it's wrong to want to name this son Jasper?" Skye asked. "No, I don't. You're not replacing him," Monica reassured her. "Never. It was my fault I lost that boy," Skye admitted. "Well, this time you're not alone, and you won't lose the twins," Monica comforted her. "Thanks," Skye said. Monica then left so Skye could get dressed.

Monica was in the hallway when Alan approached. "Monica, how was Skye's appointment?" Alan asked. "Good, so far, it's good," Monica replied. "Good, thank you for taking Skye," Alan said. "You're welcome," Monica said, sharing a kiss as Skye came by. "Dad... did Monica tell you what I'm having?" Skye asked. "No," Alan replied. "I'm having twins — a boy and a girl," Skye said. "Oh, that's wonderful," Alan said. "Thanks," Skye responded. "We will make sure you have a healthy pregnancy," Alan promised. "Yes? We sure go to the courthouse?" Skye asked. "Skye, don't let Brenda get to you," Alan advised. "I will not. Yes, she took Jax from me, and she will pay, but she doesn't have what I have," Skye said as she touched her stomach. "No, she doesn't," Monica agreed.
