The one and only part 3 ch 14

The only part 3, chapter 14—"
Saying goodbye is the hardest word".

At The Quartermaine Mansion—the next day—Alan, AJ, Monica, and Emily were in the den. "We sure leave for the funeral soon," Alan said. "I wish I did remember Skye, so I can help her," Emily said. "You can by being there for her," Monica said. "Yes," Alan replied. "I'm going to go to the funeral now. I want to be there for Skye," AJ said. "Alright. The nanny is going to bring Lila Rae and Rae over," Alan added. "Alright," AJ responded as Michael entered. "Michael, I will see you later at the funeral," AJ said. "Yes, thanks for supporting Skye and letting her get her mother out of jail," Michael replied. "You're welcome," AJ said and left. "Michael, are you okay?" Monica asked. "Yes, Grandmother," Michael said.

Alan moved to the fireplace and looked at a picture of Skye as Emily approached. "Are you okay?" she asked. "Just worried about your sister?" Alan responded. "From what I could tell, Skye is strong," Emily noted. "Yes, she is—but she's a recovering alcoholic," Alan said. "Oh, but Skye is a mother, and she's not going to do that to her children," Emily added. "I hope not. I'm glad you're back," Alan said. "Thanks. I'm glad to be back too," Emily replied. "Are you sad about Lydia?" Alan asked. "A little. I did love her. I thought she was my mother," Emily said. "Yeah," Alan responded.

At The Church—Skye entered, looked at the coffin and Jax's body, and adjusted his tie. "Oh my love, there will never be another love of my life. My heart is closed. I will only love our children. I know you will be happy about the baby. You will spoil him or her," Skye said as AJ approached and took her hand. "Skye," AJ said. "I was just making sure Jax was perfect," Skye responded. "Jax looks great," AJ said. "AJ, I don't know if I can do this," Skye admitted as Tracy approached. "Yes, you can. You're a Quartermaine," Tracy told her. "Thanks," Skye said. "Skye, it's going to start soon," AJ announced as Alan, Monica, Ned, Alexis, Lila Rae, Ric, Emily, Nikolas, Carly, Josslyn, and Michael entered. "Why is she here?" AJ asked. "Be nice. Carly can stay," Skye responded.

The father approached. "Are we ready?" he asked. "Yes, I guess so," Skye replied. They sat down. "We are here to say goodbye to a father, a businessman, and a husband who loved his family so much—his wife Skye, daughters Lila Rae and Rae, Josslyn, stepson Morgan, and Michael. His wife would like to say something," announced the father. Skye stood up. "Jax and I were married once before, and it ended badly. I wasn't sure about opening my heart again with Jax. I didn't want to lose him again, and I was so scared. But I'm glad I followed my heart and loved Jax again. I just wish Jax was here with me and Lila Rae, whom he loved as his own, and Josslyn—you loved him so much. And Michael and Morgan, I want to raise this baby I'm carrying with Jax, my husband. It's not fair! It's just not fair!" Skye yelled as the door opened, revealing Brenda. Everyone turned around, and Carly stood up. "What the hell are you doing here?" Carly yelled. "I came to say goodbye to Jax, too. We loved each other," Brenda said as Skye approached her. "Get out! Today isn't about you and Jax. It's about Skye and Jax," Carly demanded. "You're now on Skye's side?" Brenda asked. "I'd take Skye's side over yours any day!" Carly shouted. "Brenda, today isn't about you and Jax," Skye reminded. "I have a right to say goodbye to my ex-husband," Brenda insisted, as AJ stood up. "Let me take her out of here," AJ suggested. "No, I'm not going to let Brenda ruin this. I don't have time to deal with you, Brenda," Skye said. "Are you sure?" Carly asked. "Yes, thanks, Carly," Skye responded. Skye, Carly, and AJ returned to their seats, while Brenda sat alone.
