The One and Only Part 3, Chapter 25

At the Quartermaine mansion, Monica was home, looking at pictures of Emily when Emily came in. "What are you looking at?" Emily asked. "Pictures of you before you were taken from us. Do you want to look at them?" Monica said. "Sure," Emily replied, and they sat down. "This one is of you at prom with your first boyfriend, Zander Smith," Monica said. "Hi, cute. Did I love him?" Emily asked. "Yes, you did. But not as much as you loved Nikolas. Emily, he's your soulmate," Monica said. "But I hurt him. I lied to him to get ELQ," Emily said. "True, but you did the right thing. You always have," Monica replied. She turned the page to a picture of Page and Emily. "Who was this with me?" Emily asked. "You're biological mother, Page. I met Page when I was undergoing treatment for my cancer, and we became friends. Page asked me to look after you and take you in. She had no one," Monica explained. "So you just took me in—a girl you hardly knew?" Emily asked. "Yes. I'm glad I did. I love you, Emily, and Page knows I would take care of you," Monica said. "I'm glad you did, too. I just wish I could remember," Emily said. "I know," Monica replied. She turned the page again to a picture of Emily and Alan at the Nurse's Ball. "What am I dressed up for?" Emily asked. "You and Alan performed at the Nurse's Ball. It was a hit," Monica said. "It looks like fun," Emily said. "It was," Monica replied as Alan came in. "What is going on?" Alan asked. "We were just reminiscing. I showed Emily a picture of you both at the Nurse's Ball," Monica said. "Yes, it was fun," Alan said. "I'm glad you showed me the picture. I do want to get my life back—my memories," Emily said. "We want that, too. We can help you," Monica said. "Yes, we can," Alan added. Skye came in carrying a little Rae and Lila Rae. "Skye, Lila Rae, where have you been?" Alan asked. "We went for ice cream," Lila Rae said. "Oh, nice, before dinner," Alan replied. "Yes, grandfather," Lila Rae said. "Lila Rae, why don't you go wash up?" Skye suggested. Lila Rae left. "How was the reading?" Alan asked. "Good. Guess who is going to run Jax's company," Skye said. "You?" Alan asked. "Yes, with Carly. It was in Jax's will since we both have children. He also left Lila Rae some money too," Skye explained. "Jax loved Lila Rae too—that's what makes a parent love," Monica said. "Yes, he did," Skye replied. "Can you run it with Carly?" Alan asked. "I'm going to try," Skye said. "What about ELQ now that you have it?" Monica asked. "I would like to know too," Tracy said as she came in with AJ, who smiled at Skye. "I gave my share away," Skye said. "To whom?" Tracy asked. "Me," AJ said. "Are you out of your mind?" Tracy asked. "My brother will run ELQ just fine," Skye said. "Yes, my son will," Alan agreed. "Yes," Monica added. "We will all be in the poorhouse soon," Tracy said. "You will if you don't watch it," Monica warned. "I will do my best to run it, and I won't let anyone down," AJ said. "Skye, thank you," Alan said. "Yes," AJ echoed. "Well, I can't run both companies," Skye said. "No, you can't. I just hope you don't let that affect you with the baby," Alan said. "I won't let it hurt the baby," Skye replied. Lila Rae came back in, and Alan picked her up. "Oh, Lila Rae, you're getting big," Alan said. "Thanks, grandfather," Lila Rae replied.
