The One and Only Part 3, Chapter 16

At the lake house, Skye picks up Jax's jacket, looks inside, pulls out his cell phone, and opens it. She sees a call from Brenda just as there's a knock on the door. Skye goes to open it—it's Carly. "Come in," Skye says. "Are you okay?" Carly asks. "I was just going through Jax's cell phone. He talked to Brenda, and Jax told me he was done with her," Skye replies. "Don't do this to yourself, Skye. Jax didn't love Brenda," Carly says. Skye and Carly sit down, and Skye opens the phone to check missed calls from Brenda. "Twenty missed calls, all from Brenda. What did she want?" Skye asks. "Besides Jax, I find it odd that she's back in town right now," Carly replies. "Do you think it was Brenda who put the bomb in the hotel and not Bobbie?" Skye asks. "I was thinking that too. I don't believe my mother would do that. She wouldn't put her grandchildren in danger," Carly says. "I agree with you on that," Skye responds. "Good," Carly says. "Who knows? Jax's death might bring us closer," Skye asks. "Yes, and we share that bond of being mothers," Carly replies. "Yes. We need to go through Brenda's things and find out what she's doing here," Skye says. "Yes, I found out she's staying at Kelly's," Carly states. "Alright, let's go," Skye says. The baby kicks again, and Skye touches her stomach. "Is the baby okay?" Carly asks. "Yes, he or she has been kicking all day," Skye replies. "That's good," Carly says. "The baby I lost with Jax was a boy. I named him Jasper, but I want to name this one Jasper too. Do you think that's wrong?" Skye asks. "No, I don't," Carly affirms. "Good. Let's go after Brenda. With the two of us, she can't win," Skye declares. "No, she can't," Carly agrees. Skye and Carly leave.

At the restaurant/shopping center—Michael and AJ are there. "The restaurant is almost finished," AJ says. "Yes, we're going to be a hit," Michael responds. "Yes, we are. I'm glad Grandfather suggested we work together," AJ mentions. "Me too. I know you're upset about your mother being out, but she can't stop us," Michael states. "No, she can't," AJ confirms.

At the docks—Brenda is there when Alexis comes by. "Why are you even here? No one wants you in town, and leave Skye alone," Alexis says. "You were never a fan of Skye, so why are you defending her now? First Carly, and now you," Brenda retorts. "Because, for a couple of months before Jax died, he was happy with Skye. They are expecting a child. If you love Jax, he would want you to leave her alone," Alexis explains. "I just want to say goodbye to Jax. I have a right to," Brenda insists. "Alright, now leave," Alexis orders. "I will not leave yet," Brenda replies.
