The one and only part 3, chapter 15: "
Saving Goodbye's the Hardest Word"
at the church, during Jax's funeral. Skye sat with her family, Carly, and Josslyn when Ned stood up. "Jax and I were friends and rivals in business, and I will miss Jax. Skye, I will be there for you and the girls if you need anything. We are Quartermaines, and we take care of each other," Ned said. Ned sat down, and Alexis stood up. "Jax and I were married once; it was just convenient, but we were best friends, and I loved him. I will make sure the person who did this pays—who took Jax from his wife and children," Alexis said as she sat down. Carly stood up. "Jax and I were married. I wished it would last, but I hurt Jax. I don't regret our marriage. Jax was a great father to my sons and our daughter Josslyn. Jax was all about family and loyalty, and I will look out not just for my daughter but for Lila Rae, Rae, and Skye's new baby too. I will not let anyone hurt them any more than they already have—when they took Jax from them," Carly said, looking at Brenda. Carly was about to return to her seat when Brenda stood up, and Carly grabbed her arm. "What do you think you're doing?" Carly asked. "I want to say something about Jax," Brenda said. "Not today," Carly replied. Skye got up. "Carly, let her. Brenda doesn't share what we both had with Jax—children. She will never be the mother of Jax's children. There's nothing else she can take from us," Skye said. "True," Carly agreed. Brenda approached. "The last time Jax and I saw each other, I hurt him again, and it's too late to fix it. I loved Jax, and I do wish he was here so I could win him back. You know I can, Skye. If I had come back before this happened, I might have saved him," Brenda said. Ned stood up and approached Brenda. "Enough," Ned said. Brenda left. "Mommy," Lila Rae said. "I'm okay. Don't listen to that woman," Skye said. "Yes, girls, stay away from her," Carly added. "Yes, Mother," Josslyn and Lila Rae said. "Thanks, Carly," Skye said. "You're welcome," Carly replied. "We should head to the wake," Alan said. Alan, Monica, Emily, Ned, Alexis, Nikolas, Michael, and AJ left. On the docks, Brenda was there when Ned approached. "Brenda, don't go near Skye anymore. Leave her alone. This isn't about you and Jax anymore. Jax didn't choose you; he was married to Skye. He loved her, and I won't let you hurt her anymore," Ned said. "You hate Skye," Brenda said. "She's family," Ned replied. "We were friends," Brenda said. "We used to be," Ned admitted. Ned then left. At the Quartermaine mansion during Jax's wake, Skye greeted everyone but found it overwhelming. She went to look out the window, crying as she felt her baby kick and placed her hand on her stomach. "Oh Jax, our baby just kicked for the first time," Skye whispered.
